She’s forced to leave the past behind.
He’s desperate for a purpose.
War will test them both…

Hecate, Titan of witchcraft, has found her home in the Underworld. But she can’t stop feeling that danger is on the horizon. When the Land of the Living is attacked by giants, she discovers that to end the onslaught she must release the god she imprisoned.

Prince Pollux of Sparta spends his days inebriated and indulging in women. When he’s banished to the Underworld, it seems like things can’t get any worse— until he meets Despoena, a wild nymph. As war arrives, Pollux is tasked with returning Despoena to her home. But when she flees into the arms of a golden warrior he will need to find his purpose and put jealousy aside.

As the two enemies travel to Olympus, Hecate must put revenge, and her past, behind her in order to save the world. But as Hecate’s prisoner grows more powerful, and Pollux struggles with past trauma, victory seems impossible.

As the final battle approaches, only one question remains: can Hecate and Pollux unify the Olympians for the greater good, or will they crumble under the giants’ strength?

I have always loved Greek mythology, YA and spicy and this book matches all my needs with Greek mythology. So much adventure, combat and mystery.
It's told it two point of views. I didn't think I needed Pollux's pov but after the first few chapters, I needed more. He had such good character development after the first book and I loved him more. The spice between him and Desy was perfect. *I didn't say anything but it was *chefs kiss.* Nothing was in Desy's pov but I almost felt like she was with the way everything was told. Their connection was strange in the beginning but I love the way they came together.
Hecates revenge was heartbreaking but the way she fought against the monsters in herself shows how strong she is. She is so much better than she thinks she is and I love seeing a character finally understand how powerful they are. I wish there was alittle more of Castor, I loved him in the first one but I understand her worry about bringing him.
Honestly with Heracles, all I could see was the cartoon movie golden boy but the more I got into his spicy scenes the more I saw him as a true demi god. No spoilers but my gosh, THE scene was *Insert drooling*. (you'll know.)
Mythology with adventure are one of my favorite combinations and this piques my interest. It goes beyond my expectations and wouldn't have changed anything. 10/10 !

Man what to say. Well there is a TON of spice in this one 😉. It’s the continuation of daughter of the underworld. Loved the dual pov where they were at different spots in the book! def feel for pol he’s gets the short end of the stick! he feels useless and not needed and unsure of what to do. he’s then given a job and feels appreciated because his skills are needed finally and he doesn’t have to prove himself. The ending was the best! I honestly don’t know what else to say because this book again does not disappoint at all!

you did it again!

I love your take on Greek mythology and the storyline the dual point of view between two characters who are connected but not in a relationship is an even better touch. Honestly, I love the story telling from going from one main character to another main character. I also love how much drama is in all of this and how it all connects like you have such a creative mind thank you so much for writing this Greek mythology retelling.

I was on the edge of my seat for this entire book! It picked up right where book 1 left off & of course, Hecate is one bad b*tch. I’m unsure where this series is going next but I need all the books. I’m ready to for all the stress & anxiety from future books in this series 😭

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book was a delight to read and end the duet with. Jenn Lynn Adams knows how to wrap all the loose ends that you need resolved up into a tight little package. Everything from book 1 and book 2 are a marvel. I am left feeling satisfied. You can relate to each character and end up wanting to root for or hate them. Very well done. I also adore that this story follows a different romance arc than the first book but doesnt lose the plot of the books. It adds an extra element.

First things first, I loved Daughter of the Underworld already! Therefore , my hopes and expectations for Daughter of War and Witchcraft were pretty high to begin with. AND THE AUTHOR DELIVERED A PERFECT SEQUEL.
I had to laugh so much at the bantering between Pol and Desy. I loved that. The eye rolling moments were so so satisfying 😌 I liked that this is clearly Pol's "story" but without missing progressing the main story around Hecate. She's so strong and deals with a lot here, what would've made the book rather heavy to read (if it would be without Pol's storyline).
The characters were written with great dynamics, developments, and very comprehensible.
Yes, the names are challenging, and yes, there are lots of heavy topics, trauma, and trigger worthy stuff, but tbh it's Greek mythology, sooooo... It's to be expected.
Pol's story was worth the journey and definitely a nice change in reading.
