Kuramordere Mafia #2

Loss & Blood: A Kuramordere Mafia Story

Rate this book
When I had woken up in a strange room full of women, I assumed things couldn’t get worse, but now that I am waking up in a room full of strange ‘men,’ it is clear how wrong I had been. They lock me away and throw away the key, intent on using me as a pawn, an object for bartering, and worse, a human blow-up doll with no will of my own. The sadistic bastards hover and lurk in every corner, watching and recording my every move, until he shows me mercy. When the opportunity arises, I grab hold of the kindness and burrow myself in its comforting embrace, but I fell for these tricks once before and look where it got me; trapped, again, with dicks chomping at the bit to get a taste of all my delectable goodness. I don’t know where I’ll end up or whose arms I will be in, but I do know one they are in for one hell of a fight because I plan to bite back… or maybe the bright spot in my life will be extinguished and my zest for life along with it. Join Isla in this one of a kind vampire omegaverse with a twist that will make your cervix question reality.

MS. JAMES... you have left me in an emotional ringer and hit spin on it so many times that I don't know where my heart or my a&& is now.. Why? Why did you do this to me? Then leave me stranded on the side of the road, in the rain, next to Bright's car, impotent with fear? That was just wrong what you did to me after the craptastic storm I endured with Isla, at the Wilder Palace.... Please.. please give me something to hope for after that ending.. I beseech you😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔

So as you can all guess from my blubbering above, this book has messed me up. Left me utterly spent in all ways. Book 1 confused and scared the mess out of me. Book 2 did the same thing but with much more flair. My head, heart, and blood pressure can't take much more of this... Bright is my baby. Cash and Penn are as well. Devlin.. is necessary to this circle of life and love, but he can go kick some rocks as far as I'm concerned. I still don't like him cause of his very first intense encounter with Isla in book 1.... but then I'm gifted Wyatt. In the midst of this 💩 storm here he is, to make where Isla must stand, for a brief eternity, just a little bit more bearable. I love this male so much.. Maybe because he kinda reminds me of my Nallum...

This 2nd installment is brutal. It's going to hurt your heart. Completely tick you off and then leave you stranded as I was, on a corner looking like a literary hooker waiting on the next installment to pull up to the curb. 😂
Lots of scary and heartbreaking revelations here, alongside all the beautiful, twisted, decadence of lust, loss, and love. Alien 👾 🍆-teeth and all.. 😂

I think I speak for everyone who loves this series, when I say, please Ms. James, set our hearts to right again with the final book. And do it quickly. 🥺

I would definitely recommend this series.. I'm also going to be a mess until I get that 3rd installment. Please Ms. James say you love me and gift me a book before the release date🙏🏼🖤

Both books 📚 are currently on KU

Oh boy this one is very very dark. I knew it was dark going in, but this one was a little harder to read for me. So please please check your trigger warnings. I will say, I'm hooked on the story, hooked on her guys, and I need the next book ASAP. Loving the addition to the harem. And I really love how easily the other guys allow him space to be there with her. BUT OH MY GOD THAT ENDING. IM NOT OKAY....

I read this very quickly simply because I couldn't put it down.
It picks right back up from where the first one went and had me all up in my feelings from the start. Iris has a brilliant way of introducing new characters and making you appreciate them rather than just assuming they're in it for the long haul. Heads up tho, the ending is going to make you want to throw whatever you're reading it on.

A letter to the author, with love!!

Dear Ms. James,
How DARE you leave me hanging like that! I hadn’t even gotten over the emotional trauma of the beginning of the book, or the cliffy at the end of book 1, and you go and leave me with that ending! I am now a wreck, as I sit here biting my nails waiting for book 3. Yet, I wonder if I can handle it. Ah, who am I kidding. Course I can. I just need the book now. So if you could kindly proceed as to be so good and drop the next book…not just for me, but for others as well. Or at the very least let us pick your brain so we know what is coming.
I thank you kindly.
Sincerely,
Emotionally Wrecked Reader who no longer has nails.

***First…even if you have read the first book, I ask that you check trigger warnings as this is a darker book***

So, book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off. Cash, Penn, and Devlin are angry. At their omega Bright, as well as themselves. Bright is just so full guilt and self-loathing that you can’t help but feel sorry for him. He tried to be a decent guy and it backfired on him so horribly.
This book actually centers more on Isla POV of things, which makes for a much darker read. Not much of the focus is on the guys. We also see a previous character that no one liked and we are also introduced to a brand new character that adds some angst to the dynamic. Just a bit. Personally, I am all for the new character and I can’t wait for book 3 to see how everything falls into place.

Short and sweet for a review, wanted to avoid any spoilers.

The book review for Loss & Blood by Iris James is here!!!! In Loss & Blood, we find that Arthur has kidnapped Jace to get back at the Vendetti boys, and he's subjecting her to horrible tortures as a lesson to the Vendetti boys that he's not someone to mess with. The Vendetti boys have to decide whether to surrender to Arthur's demands in order to get Jace back, or fight to get her back and risk her being killed. We see Wyatt take care of Jace and keep her protected from Stone and his brother. We see how the Vendetti boys are handling the situation and they're not coping well at all! The love they feel for Jace is noticeable when you see how they're reacting to Jace's kidnapping and torture, you know for a fact that the love they feel for her is real! The ending had me reeling and I'm STILL not ok! Overall, I loved this book! As much as I loved book one, I loved book two even more, and can't wait to see how book three plays out! Thank you for letting me enter this world, fall in love with the Vendetti boys, and befriend Isla! ❤

Amazing read!

Loss & Blood is book 2 in A Kuramordere Mafia Story series. It’s a why choose PNR mafia romance.
This story picks up right where Lust & Blood left us, immediate danger. The Vendettis are feeling murderous and Isla is scared and alone. She goes through horrors in the clutches of the Wilder family. That is until she meets Wyatt.
Wyatt is the enemy, the son of the Wilders, another Kuramordere mafia family. But there’s more to Wyatt. Wyatt is a strong Omega with Alpha tendencies beaten into him by his father. He’s kind and has fallen for Isla.
Once Sanger seems behind them, new family dynamics need to be discussed and agreements need to be made so that they can get to a balanced family.
The plot is exciting and the story keeps me reading on, seeing what happens next. The smutty times are plentiful and hot between the group and couple pairings!! And the bonds seem unbreakable. They are stronger together.
Until the cliffhanger hits you in the gut. This shocking event has me anxiously awaiting the next book in the series!

Oh goodness! This story is definitely darker than the first one. It definitely has potential triggers for some. We continue where book 2 leaves off and boy is it a rocky road. We see Isla enduring so many things. We see how strong she is throughout it all. She is a fantastic FMC that you can see her pain and anguish. The guys have grown in this one and we feel their worry and pain as the endure what they know that Isla is going through. We meet some new characters that are not really the best. This has a lot of drama and action throughout it. It is a very emotional experience that I do know if I would be able to stay as strong as she does. It is extremely well written and developed. It ends in a very major cliffhanger that has me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. Is an absolute must read.

After reading book one I have been anticipating reading the next installment in this series! It did not disappoint at all. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I read of this book. I was drawn in and didn’t want to stop reading!

I really love Isla and her men. Their chemistry is so good. I love the tension at times, keeps me on my feet lol. I will say this book compared to the last one put me through a ringer lol. I was a coaster of emotions that just wouldn’t stop. I would go from one emotion to the next very quickly.

I love the way the story and characters are developing. It gets better the further I read into the book!

Overall, loved the book and I am so looking forward to the next one after that ending lol. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a vampireish book. This one was a good read that I loved!

First of all, Bright you idiot!!! (You’ll get me once you read that ending, and now i need book 3 pronto to know how it all ends!!!)

Now, if you are here it means you got hooked on dongs with fangs (honestly who wouldn’t? Like it’s just a vampire equivalent of a knot 😅 or at least that’s how i understood it).

Now the second book is much darker, it starts with a dark bang, and i wasn’t sure when we will get some good vibes, and Isla really needed those! So once Wyatt appears, i was really happy. If i thought Isla was strong in the first book, she shows an even stronger character in this one. And that ending, really broke my heart, because there will be a need for a lot of damage control in the third book.

Lost and Found and Lost

Iris James’ second book in A Kuramordere Mafia Story series left me screaming NO! Why oh why did Ms. James do such a thing to her readers? I loved this book but I hate when a book is so emotionally good it makes me cry, because I hate to cry. I’m practically on pins and needles anxiously waiting for the next book. A new character named Wyatt is introduced as Isla’s protector during her forced captivity. The two of them have some chemistry that starts to spark. This book has plenty of exciting adventure, mystery, suspense, steamy situations that are so riveting I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Iris James always pushes the envelope and this is definitely no exception. That’s why I always keep coming back for more. Though darker than her last series and with more TW than I usually prefer, the twists and turns are so good! This second book in the series gives us more information about the Wilders and the power that these “vampires” have. I can’t say that I understand or agree with everything that happens with Isla and her mates decide but despite that, their motivations are fully explained. I don’t know what will happen next, but I am sure, true to form, it will be dark and depraved and very unpredictable.

****MAY CONTAIN BOOK ONE SPOILERS****

This is book two of the series and takes place right after the cliffhanger of book one. Isla has been taken and her men are beside themselves. Their enemy is using her as leverage to get what he wants.

Isla has already endured so much from her kidnapper. I couldn’t believe how strong she is. She was still hopeful of her rescue and I loved that! The surprise in this story was Wyatt! I love him!

I want so much more and I can’t believe what Iris did with the cliffhanger. On boy, I’m gonna need answers quickly missy.

This book was dark, gritty and raw. Packed chock full of emotional damage and potentially triggering content. And yet there was a lightness to it I was not expecting, but I'm certainly not mad about. It was hard to put down, and I often found myself saying, "just one more chapter". I needed her to be safe. I needed her back in the arms of her men. I needed them plotting revenge. And now, I kind of need a hug because, damn James, that was both completely satisfying in one breath and downright cold in the next!

Nooo the cliffy why? Lol wow this book was awesome. I couldn’t put it down . There was so much emotion running through the words. Isla kidnapped and treated horribly. I was so thrilled when she found her way to cash and the others but with a little extra on the side. So much steam in this book I loved it . That ending on a cliffy had my eyes bugging and heartbroken for isla. I can’t wait for the next book.

Amazing.

This is book two in the series and its just as amazing as the first. Book two pucks right where book one leaves off. Once again I was completely drawn in and didn't want to stop reading. I love the mix of vampires and mafia. Isla is such a strong FMC and I love her men. This book will definitely give you an emotional ride and please head all trigger. We are left with one heck of a cliffhanger and I will be impatient my waiting for book three

I had an ARC of this so not going to spoil it for anyone. But, this one was a tough read, we know, from the end of the last book, that Isla has been taken by a rival family, now things get really nasty. They intend to use her to get what they want from the guys and there's no being nice about it. She is going to need a lot of therapy to help her deal with the fall out!

Poor Isla, this girl cannot catch a break! She keeps trying to stay afloat with the absolute crap that life throws at her, but her circumstances keep getting worse and worse. You will experience a whole lotta loss with Isla and probably want to draw some blood by the time you hit that cliffie. So be warned, it'll hurt so good! 😬

Well, that didn’t go as I expected. This book is rapidly paced from page one, and I couldn’t put it down. I don’t know what I was expecting, but this was WELL beyond those expectations. The author surprised me time and time again as I kept reading. But that ending? Yeah, I’m going to need the next book asap. I need to know what happens next.

Oh wow, another one that just couldn't be put down! I read this in one sitting. After Isla is kidnapped again, there is so much she must survive, but the ally she finds in her enemies camp is just what she needs to survive and escape. There are so many twists and turns in this, that you can not put it down!

Amazing!!!

Oh man this book will keep you hooked from the very frost page.

If you enjoy mafia romance, smart sassy MFC, hot protective alphaholes then this series is for you!

Please read the trigger warnings first there are a few in this story that definitely need to be looked over. But if you are ok with those you are in for a wild ride!

This is a second book in the A Kuramordere Mafia Story series. It left me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading. There are so many twists and powerful emotions. This is a darker read where I would recommend read the TWs before reading. This is an incredible read with a heck of a cliffhanger.

The story continues. Isla has been kidnapped, the guys were betrayed by someone in their inner circle. There is triggers in this one, so be aware that it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

This book doesn't have a HEA, and the ending is heartbreaking, but I think if we just hold on for a little longer, it will get happier.

speechless and screaming along with Isla

My heart. Oh gods there’s too much to unpack. I burned through this book, wanting to know how everything was going to unfold I couldn’t put it down. The riptide of emotions and triggers had me in the mental state of Isla right there with her. But the ending of this one. I am not okay, I need ice cream, wine, and about 4 boxes of tissues.

This book picks up right at the end of the last one. Isla definitely has a lot to overcome in this installment but we get to meet some new characters (good and bad). The cliffhanger will either make you sad or angry or both. Looking forward to the finale.
