Bree

Ronan

She rides in on Sayer’s bike… and I don’t like it.

She needs the club’s protection and my instant attraction to her won’t let me say no.

When the Eater’s come for her, and I know they will… I’ll be ready.

This was a fantastic start to a new series. Hope Ford is a one click author for me and this book had me pretty much from the first page it jumps straight into the story.

Bree a female bear shifter dreams of letting her bear free, after finally breaking away from her over protective parents she’s ready to live her life in her terms. Packing up and moving to a new town where her cousin is part of the New Law MC she is right where she is meant to be. Stopping for petrol though ends up with her being attacked, and saved in the nick of time by Bruin, knowing she now needs the protection of the club she accompanies him to a club party where she finds herself pulled towards the VP and with the way he’s looking at her he’s feeling the same but can she trust him to be true to her and will the club protect her?

Ronan is no stranger to women being the VP of the New Law MC he can pick and choose who he wants but the moment he sees Bree get off his brothers bike he knows something has changed fundamentally. He’s stayed away from women who want to settle down and as much as he wants to push her away his bear recognises his mate and she is in danger. Will she let him claim her and when danger comes looking for her will he get there in time to save her from death?

Loved this story and can’t wait for the next one. I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book. 4.5 🌟

This is an amazing story by Hope Ford. I couldn't put it down. I was drawn into the action from the first page. I didn't want the story to end.

Bree comes to Eden looking for a chance to break out on her own. Her cousin has talked up this place and she can't wait to experience it. She ends up in trouble with a rival MC. Ronan is the VP for the New Law MC. He is enthralled by her from the moment he set eyes on her. He goes against his dad and declares that he will protect her. Bree is his mate and nothing will stop him from keeping her safe. Will they be able to find their happy ever after?

Ronan is the first book in the brand new New Law MC series. As a lover of both shifter and MC stories I was super excited to see that Hope Ford has combined the two!! I loved the story although I will say that there are a couple of things that are not typical MC or Shifter. Ronan and Bree have a bit of a rough road but finally get their happily ever after.

I consider this story safe there is no abuse of any kind, no cheating and a very small amount of other woman drama in the beginning before he meets the heroine and right after he meets he he immediately put her in her place and let her know that he was spoken for.

I’m disappointed with this story. It was a decent storyline and I wouldn’t mind reading more, but I hope that the rest are more carefully thought out.
There are continuity errors all throughout this book. It contradicts itself multiple times. On one page we’ll have an inner thought and a few paragraphs later the same character will disregard their own thoughts.
Just to give a couple of small samples - the MC President, Deater, calls church to vote on if they will, what? Provide protection for a club member’s cousin? I wasn’t extremely certain. Anyway, he states that she is nothing to the club even though she is a relative. His son, the VP claims her as his mate in front of the entire club (club whores, members, all in the “church”) Deater looks pissed but accepts it when his own mate smilies and nods.
Later TWO MORE TIMES he yells at his son about him taking the side of this “stranger” (those aren’t the words he said btw). TWO MORE TIMES even though he has a mate and understands what being mated is like. He acted shocked each time he was told that she was his son’s mate as if he was never aware that his son had claimed her previously.
During a fight scene the h is being attacked brutally by the bad guy in her bear form. She is thinking to herself that if she shifts she will be killed. A couple of paragraphs later she shifts.
The H shows up and is supposed to be bigger than the bad guy. After the fight is over the h is the one that ends up nursing him back to health even though she was the one that was supposedly dying during the fight.
One of the hardest things for me was that the h didn’t seem to have any idea at all what mates were.
A couple of the characters had personality changes out of the blue. There was a club “twinkie “ that was glaring and hateful then all of a sudden she was all smiles and no longer trying to get the attention of the H. A club brother kept trying to get in the h’s space even smirking at the H when told to back off but then there is no hint of this type of behavior in the next chapter.

Like I said, the story was interesting but it’s like it was written too fast and didn’t have anyone read over it to give the author a heads up that it needed to be smoothed out. If there is a beta reader or two they need to not be afraid to tell the author that things need fixing. It’s going to cause the author to lose readers. How do I know? Because I doubt I’ll read this author again. Life is too short and there are way too many books out there to waste time reading something that isn’t ready for publishing.

Loved it

Brilliant first book of the series. Bree gets into trouble when she stops for fuel a rival mc gang have seen her a trying to take her even though the6 shouldn’t be there they are trespassing on New law territory. just a Bree thinks it’s all over for her Bruin her cousin rides in and saves the day. Ronan doesn’t want a mate that’s until he sees Bree and everything changes they have to vote to see if the club will protect her against the eaters. Bree can feel the woods calling to her she walks off to let her bear run free but is joined by Ronan and when they get back church is called. Ronan knows they will vote against protecting Bree but he goes against his father and claims her as his now the club have to protect her. Bree is unsure of he claims her means when Ronan takes her back to her cabin to claim what is his even though Bree tries to resist he can read her body and she wants it as much as him. Next day they go back to the clubhouse only for Ronan and his dad to have a falling out sobBree decides to go to town to get a couple bits for her cabin a couple of the guys from the club go with her. Ronan collapses to the floor in pain but it’s not his it’s Bree’s he races away from the clubhouse in his bear form going to Bree. Bree is fighting for her life against Solos unsure she is going to make it then Ronan breaks out of the forest and the fight really starts. Ronan will not lose this fight he needs to protect Bree they have lost a member today killed by Solos. It’s a tough fight but Ronan wins not unscathed though Bree nurses him through. Bree is leaving she has caused too much trouble being there and is writing a Ronan a letter but he comes racing down the road breaks the front door and is asking where she is going. When Bree tries to explain Ronan needs for her to realise they can’t be separated they share a bond he shows her how it feels if she left him now Bree gets it and tells him how much she does love him.

The story, the plot flowed quite well with a little action at the end of the story. Some details are not well told (such as the work and background of the h), but that was easily ruled out by the main story, the competition between clubs. The plot was interesting with a few splashes of twist that make us stayed till the end of the book.

No OM, OW presents but clearly dismissed after H met h
No trigger, but there're violence and action near the end
True mate, but the MCs didn't recognize their true mate immediately
No mating rituals/marks
Virgin h, experienced H
Condom
Smutty level: 5 Hotness
Storyline: 3.5 stars

Ronan is vice president in the new Law MC Club and a Bear shifter. He steers clear of any women with a long term look to them because he doesn't do that. That was until he saw Bree. Bree is a bear shifter and is Bruin's cousin he's a member of the New Law MC. Bree was on her way into town and something happened with another mc and now they are after her. When she makes it to her cousin she tells him what happened he then tells his mc. However not everyone wants to help her. Ronan doesn't like this so he steps in and claims Bree is his. Will they be able to protect her? Will she stay after everything is said and done?

This is a great story and once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Ok let me start this off by saying I enjoyed the story, I felt for the characters, I suffered for Bree when everything went down and I loved that she fought back, with not just the bad guys but Ronan too.
But I got confused and that pulled me out of the story,( I really wish HF’s beta readers had picked up on a few things,) the virgin thing, see there was a bit in the beginning where she’s considering taking Sayer for a ride and the way she thinks to herself about the men around her is no way virginal, and to be honest for the way she comes across at the beginning changes later in the book, she looses maturity.
Then there’s her trip to go shopping, sorry honestly that was classic TSTL, and again shows a lack of the maturity and classy lady she was at the start, and yes the guy who died is on her and I found it hard to keep liking her after that.

Bree is a bear shifter who is ready to get out on her own, away from her over-protective family. She runs into some trouble with a rival MC and seeks out the New Law MC that her cousin belongs to. Ronan is the VP of the New Law MC and is immediately attracted to her, determined to protect her. His bear recognizes that Bree is his mate and she needs his help to survive what is coming. Does she feel the same draw to him that he feels? Will she allow him to claim her as his mate?

I love shifter stories. The characters are strong and confident, the story line is well-paced to roll out all the action. Grab your copy and see how it all plays out as the tensions rise between the two clubs!

Holy Hotness I absolutely fell head over heels in love Ronan and damn jealous of Bree . This book will absolutely suck you in from the beginning until the end. This is my first time reading a bear shifter book and Hope Didn't disappoint me either. I absolutely am hooked now. Bree is getting out on her own and meeting her cousin but when a couple of mc bikers rival gang attack her it's up to Ronan and his fathers mc to take a vote on whether to protect her or not ,but Vp Ronan who doesn't want to settle down finds he can't keep away from Bree will he push her away or will he finally find his mate and claim her?I would love to give this short story a 10 but can't. This book is absolutely fantastic.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
Ronan is book one in the ‘’New law MC’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Bree has just moved towns when she finds herself in trouble. When her biker cousin steps in, she soon finds herself meeting the local MC. Ronan isn’t looking for love but when he meets Bree, he knows she is his mate.
The chemistry between Ronan and Bree is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this book.
The storyline for this story is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Oh me, Oh my! Bear shifters and warring motorcycle clubs, instalove and fated mates, action and danger - this book has it all! Bree wasn't looking for love, just freedom, when decided to join her cousin Bruin in Eden. A run-in with the Eaters, a rival MC to her cousin's, as soon as she's hit town means Bree needs protection. Ronan wanted so much to deny who Bree was to him, but that easier said then done ... and lasted all of about 15 minutes. And no way is he leaving her protection to anyone else! This is a quick read, fun and sexy! A great start to a new series. Can't wait to see what comes next!

Not my cup of tea. I agree with another review I read...too much OW drama and not a fan of my heroes being a manwhore. Yuck! And I don't know about anyone else, but when I read shifter stories, I usually prefer my hero shifters to remain virgins wait for their fated mates. It makes the "fated" part more realistic. A shifter who just gives it up all of the time (ahem...our manwhore hero) and then finds his mate is crap. I guess it's par for the course if you're reading a biker shifter book. But still...I think I'll lay off the Hope Ford books for a while. She's been writing a lot of players and manwhores for heroes. Not for me.

I love Hope Ford , so when I heard she'd tried her hand at paranormal I had to read it. So glad I did. Ronan is the VP of the New Law MC. He's not looking for a mate but then he meets Bree. Bree is the cousin of a member of New Law MC. She just moved to the area and is already a target for the Eaters, a rival MC. A quick and fun book perfect for relaxing with your feet up sipping a glass of wine. I am definitely looking forward to reading more of this series

This is the first book in a new series about bear shifter MC members Something in this book just felt a little off and I can't really explain what it just didn't flow as well as most books do

Bree has decided to head to live with her cousin that will give her bear more room to roam in the hills of California but before she can get there she runs into trouble with a MC. Her cousin and his friend come to her rescue they are a rival MC When she meets Ronan the VP of her cousins MC the attraction is instant but to keep her safe from his rivals he will need to claim her Do they have a future together You will have to read to see

I can't say that I've read many if any MC Shifter books, so this was a definite treat!

I absolutely loved that Bree was a total badass, bike riding shifter who wasn't just going to be some cute arm candy. Oh no, she wad full of sass, spunk and that girl could fight!

I was so amused by the fact that Ronan pretty much fell on his butt (proverbially speaking) upon seeing Bree and really did a 180 on how he was thinking/feeling/treating woman.

Their connection was so powerful as mated shifters and for them both to learn what that meant and felt like...total swoon

I loved Bree’s and Ronan’s story they are both bear shifters and Ronan is the VP of the New Law MC he never wanted to settle down until he met Bree, there’s action, danger, suspense, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages, I can’t wait to read Bruin’s story next he’s Bree’s cousin and a member of the New Law MC. At the back of the book there is a link to get a couple of free stories from Hope Ford, loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

The story was steamy and hot with a lot of alpha Male power. For my tastes too much MC with the club girls and the frequent use of them. Ronan was a player who finally found his match. Fated mates and a HEA. But well for me too much action with the club girls. If you like MC and shifter stories with a bit of OW drama you will love this book
just wasn't my type of story.

This is book 1 in the start of a new series. Ronan is the VP and a bear shifter. He is determined to stay single. Bree is moving to Eden where her cousin lives and she can let her bear out more. On her way to town, she runs into members of a rival gang. The characters are good. The story flows smoothly. The emotions that are portrayed are intense. The fight will make Bree question her reason.

Bears, oh my!!

Bree moves to Eden to get out from under her overprotective parents. Along the way she gets into trouble and has to be put under the protection of the New Law MC. There she meets Ronan the club’s VP. There’s an immediate attraction between the two, although they try to fight it.

This was a great read and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Plus who doesn’t love bear shifters...

I am a big fan of Hope Ford, so I have read all of her books. She decided to give paranormal romance and shot and I can say she didn't do too bad. The story was pretty good, you have Ronan who was part of the New Law MC. He didn't want to get tied down to a woman at all. Then you get to meet Bree and now he may not have a choice. I will admit I am used to the shifters marking each other in other stories. But this one you get a different kind of connection

For a short story, Ronan was an okay read, but too cliche. Bree runs into trouble with a motorcycle club of shifters her first day in a new town. Ronan sees her from across the room, recognizes her as his mate and saves the day. For the length, there is nothing memorable about the story or the characters to set it apart.

Bree is on her way to Eden where her cousin lives. She stops for gas and is accosted by another motorcycle gang, the Eaters. Her cousin saves her from certain death. She meets Ronan when her cousin takes he to his motorcycle club to ask for protection for Bree. Ronan is the VP of that club and when his bear sees her and knows that she's his fated mate. There is action, drama, danger and a love that transcends time. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Okay, I am not a fan of MC books. Just not my thing! I am a fan of Hope Ford and how she pens a story. You never forget the about the size of the women. As a plus size woman, I appreciate that the woman size is celebrated especially by the man. Then she adds shifters into the mix and I am hooked. Ronan and Bree’s story was a perfect way to get lost for a hour or so. I won’t even start with the tease of the next book but I can’t wait.

Bree and Ronan are strong bears that ended up becoming mates after they crossed paths as Bree sought safety with the MC. This was not a completely safe read in my opinion and some of the actions of the characters just didn’t sit right with me. It just wasn’t the book for me but I did enjoy parts of the story, and the couples dynamic after they were solid together. My taste in books is safety so you may find no problem with this read, but I prefer safe MC reads.

Book one in a new series. It was okay not my favorite but I did get through it. I just didn’t feel the connection between the main characters. Also when Ronan told his dad she was his mate that should have been the end of it, he’s a bear shifter he knows how it is once you find your mate. I’ll still read the rest of the books because I like this author. Up next is Bruins story.

I think Ms. Hope did a fantastic job with book! Ronan and Bree were great together. Ronan is completely and totally alpha AF and Bree can hope her ground no problem except when it comes to her feelings. I can't wait to see what Ms. Hope does next with this MC. I highly recommend this book!
