A historian finds the one document that changes everything we know about humanity. A man comes back to tell his story after using a euthanasia service. A team of scientists finally discovers why we seem to be alone in the universe.
Ghouls, curses, and murderers meet cosmic and sci-fi horror in these gruesome and intriguing tales told by one of NoSleep’s favorite authors. The demon in the attic patiently awaits to make you lose your mind and question reality itself… and she won’t leave you alone until you do!
Demons in the Attic, by T.C. Luppi, is filled with dark tales of horror, the untold mysteries of the supernatural world, death, murder, aliens, assassins, gruesome experimentations, and even the theory of the boogeyman. I found myself captivated by the narrator, Susan Marlowe as she brilliantly unfolded each terrifying and mysterious tale. This is one you won't want to miss! I highly recommend to all lovers of horror, mystery, and thriller short stories.
This is some good book right here. Not only some things end up spun on their heads, some tropes get well played, but the ending? The Demon in the attic that names the collection? It's super cool. It's some niiiiiice shade of dark fantasy I would read again and watch on tv and so on. I wish I could send flowers to this writer. They really wrote my fave horror anthology in the category Horror Happy. When you get really fucking spooked by a lot of shit, but holy cow, ain't I satisfied!
These stories flow so well from one to another and seem to seamlessly draw you into the world so finely crafted by T.C Luppi. All of the stories stand alone well but taken together form an amazing tapestry woven by a hidden hand. I can't wait to read more from this excellent artist.
This was good.I liked a few of the stories, especially the very first one.Susan Marlowe was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
It's clearly a lost art. A few decent stories but the editing is a deal breaker, it's an issue with many books these days but particularly problematic in this title.
The horror stories weren’t really all that. But the “demon in the attic” is actually a love story where a woman falls in love with a she-demon and it was the cutest thing ever.
