I got the pleasure of getting an ARC reader copy for Revenge Undone and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed the story.
The book is full of unexpected plot twists and betrayals that are not only surprising but also well set up. It explores complex loyalties and delivers gripping action from start to finish. The pacing balances quieter moments of emotional intensity with bursts of suspense and violence that keep the reader hooked.
The protagonist, Ciara, is a deeply layered character: grieving and vulnerable but strong and determined. Her story begins in personal tragedy, grieving the brutal murder of her fiancé as she returns to England for answers. This sets her on a path of truth, justice and revenge. Ciara doesn’t just fight monsters. She wrestles with guilt, anger, fear and the grief of love that never had the chance to grow old. I found Ciara relatable and resilient with an emotional arc that kept me invested. I really enjoyed the well written relationships Ciara had, especially with Liam, Henry, Theo and Kellan. The banter between these characters was truly a highlight for me.
I also really liked the darker aspects of the story. The grief, rage, and moral ambiguity made the characters feel raw and real. The sometimes graphic violence and gore felt purposeful: it underscored the high stakes of the world Ciara inhabits and gave emotional weight to her need for revenge. To me, it made the story more gripping, after all I always enjoy a good murder. I sometimes wished that the witch-hunter investigation would have progressed a bit faster but I appreciated how the slower pacing allowed for more character development and emotional depth. It gave Ciara the emotional space and time to process her grief and build meaningful connections, which made the eventual confrontations more meaningful and personal.
This novel suits readers who enjoy dark and romantic fantasy with emotionally-driven heroes, magic battles and bittersweet resolutions. I’m looking forward to the next book, which I will start reading soon.

I was given a lovely complimentary copy of this amazing book and I’m going to leave my honest review 🥰
First of all who doesn’t love a good book about magic and spells! This book had me gripped from the get go, the characters where well rounded and well described, And had their own unique qualities……
There were plenty of twists and turns in pretty much every chapter, It has pretty much taken me two days to read this book and I am totally devastated because I am now going to have to wait for book 2 to come out and I am hoping that she will release it very soon after this one as I don’t think I can wait too long as it ended on a very good cliffhanger
If you love books about magic, witches, wizards, love,heartbreak and thrilling adventures I think this book will be right up your street, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did 🥰

She tries to protect everyone she cares about but only sees them hurt and at the height of the story, she is confronted by a ghost from the past that comes back to haunt her.
Senja Laakso is a talent to be rivalled by the best of them, releasing the first of her Revenge series out into the world for all fantasy nuts and adrenaline junkies to fawn over. The way she brought Ciara to where she needed to be and still managed to throw a spanner in the works for her emotional healing was inspired. Would definitely recommend to any fans of magical fantasy and well, Harry Potter inspired worlds full of wand-waving and spellcasting!

Ciara goes back to her home in England to reunite with old friends, but finds that things are not what she expected. Her past is meshing with her present, and everything is colliding together to make her life spiral. The monsters who killed her fiance still lurk around, and now she's after justice.
This story was GRIPPING. I sat down to start reading it and before I knew it, the book was over! It's enthralling and absolutely captivates you from beginning to end. The characters are entertaining and really pull out your emotions. Ciara has a tragic story but she proves to be an incredibly strong character.
