A straightforward apology of Christianity in a utopian society on Mars. Almost everything is described in conversations and milong replicas of the main Martian character with the visitors from Earth. No scientific facts at all, mostly a Christian criticism of turbulent history of Earth.

Another's 1-star review says it all: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4... The first edition copy I read was published in 1896 and what saved it from one star for me was the prescient descriptions of astronomy, transportation, women's equality. Otherwise a regrettable read.
