Happy to be back in Seattle, Shea Bennet wants nothing more than to forget about the enigmatic warlock who saved her from a fate worse than death. But his topaz eyes haunt her, and his wicked scent makes her crave something she will never be able to have, something more than his blood — his touch. Though she feels his presence everywhere she goes, she is taken off guard when he suddenly appears as she is hunting, and Shea finds the tables have turned, and it is she who is the prey.
A warlock determined to break the curse.
Ever since he let her leave, Jesse Moss finds he is the one possessed — with the memory of a vampire he felt compelled to protect for reasons he can't explain. He lies awake night after night wrapped in her scent, her whiskey voice invading his dreams, and for the first time in is solitary life, he feels alone in the dark. The only light in his world is a vampire who wants nothing but to be far away from him. Concerned for her safety, he tracks her to her home and offers her a deal, if she will only agree to spend some time with him. A deal he has no intention of keeping.
Her past won't let her have him. Her future insists she must.
L.E. Wilson writes Paranormal Romance starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to tame them—for the most part anyway. ;) In her novels you'll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance.
Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did they know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change their lives.
Lattes and music are a necessary part of her writing process, and sometimes you'll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees.

Gah...I'm in such a book coma after finishing this one. I'm so happy that Shea and Jesse got their happily ever after and that the journey they took to get there was so fabulous, but...now the series is done and I'm sad. Like, I-need-to-go-buy-chocolate-and-tequila-and-drown-my-sorrows sad, you know? I love the author's work, so I'm sure that whatever she writes next will be awesome, but the characters in this series are like friends after I read and re-read every book a few times, so this is a very bittersweet 5-star read for me.
Fans of the series, you'll love Shea and Jesse's story. (She made him work for it, y'all, but it was great) And if you haven't read the series, why the heck not? Get to your e-reader and download Blood Hunger, slackers! You'll thank me later.
That's all I have to say, because otherwise, I'll just degenerate into obnoxious fangirling and squeeing, and we can't have that... (*clears throat, walks away in a totally dignified manner*)
Okay.. so I had a hard time picking this book up.. not because I wasn't excited or because that the beginning wasn't good but because I knew it was the last book in the series and I didn't want it to end. It's always such a bittersweet moment when I realize that I'm reading the last book in a series that I have loved. But I am glad that I finally finished this book. It was amazing. They weren't my favorite couple from the series but I still loved Jesse and Shea. I have been curious about Shea from the start. She is unable to stand the touch of another so I have been excited to see how Wilson pulled off her love story. And I was not disappointed.
I loved this book. I hate that this series is over but I really, really loved the way it ended. I seriously finished this book yesterday and just now sitting here writing this review, remembering that it's over is almost making me cry. I have to stop. Bye.
Blood Choice, Deathless Night Series book 6 by LE Wilson of s an amazing 5 star read, I'd give this book a lot more if I could.
Shea is unable to stand the touch of any male, crying out in pain at even an accidental touch, after being held prisoner by the dark warlord, Shea can't stop thinking about him despite what he put her maker and his mate through, when he comes to her asking for her to go with him she must risk betraying the only family she has for someone she's not sure she can trust.
Jesse has done some awful things in his life, but he has his reasons for doing so, when he holds a female vampire prisoner she doesn't know it's for her own safety as well as something he can't quite explain. Jesse has a plan and knowing that he can't get Shea out of his head he goes to her and asks her to go along with him, both of them fighting the attraction they have to each other but knowing it's only a matter of time before the give in to their feelings, but will Jesse betray Shea or will it be the other way around???
OMG!! Ms Wilson has really outdone herself on this book, it captures your attention from the start, my only gripe is that this series is over and I'm still left with questions, but I know there won't be long to wait until we find out the answers we need, "Fingers Crossed"
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Would you betray your family to be with your mate? Would you risk it all to see if he can touch you without pain? Would you go against all you knew just to know if he or she could be the one? Would you risk all that you have just to protect those you care for? Would you want to make the choices? Will love win out over hatred? L .E. does it again! A book you won't be able to put down!
This review is going to be tricky, it’s the last book of the series, reading the series in order is recommended as there is an ongoing story in the background. So I apologise if there are a few spoilers for previous books. Shea is the only female in Luukas’s coven, her story is a sad one, and I did shed a few tears. She was turned by Luukas, it’s a long story, but basically her sister has been possessed by a demon, and because of her bloodline, Shea couldn’t kill her sibling. So to destroy the demon inside her body, Shea became a vampire and killed her sister! At the time of Luukas’s disappearance a curse befell his coven, and Shea was unable to touch or be touched by male human hands, so feeding and sex was provided by females! But Shea longs for the day she can be touched again by a man..... Jesse is a warlock, he’s practised black magic for years, it’s leading up to a battle that may end his life!! He was the one that brought the demons back! He’s going to be the one that will protect Shea and her coven. But first he needs a powerful spell.... Shea and Jesse have a past, but it’s only been for the past few months. She was captured the same time Christian, Dante and Aiden were captured. Their stories are in books (a vampire possessed, a vampire betrayed and a vampire’s submission) so it does make sense to read in order. She was suppose to be the body that the head demon (Wanno) was to be put it in! But Jesse swapped her at the last minute for Aiden! She’d been a prisoner of Jesse’s all that time, he had to keep her safe, but I don’t really think it was the real reason, and when the mistress vampire was killed, there was no excuse to keep Shea, letting her go was the hardest thing he’s ever had to do! Shea is now back with her coven and living with her friends and their mates. She longs to return to Jesse, but knows it’s not possible! He was the cause of the vampires troubles, and if Luukas or any of the other vampires see him, they will kill him! The course of true love never runs smooth (and it’s certainly been a rough ride in this series) and before long Jesse is stalking Shea, she haunts his dreams, she’s constantly on his mind! Her curse, the one where she can’t touch another male is broken! And Jesse thinks he knows how and why. He just needs to prove it to his vampire. The decisions poor Shea has had to face has been a hard one. But denying herself the company of Jesse is her hardest one yet? Being told by Jesse he misses her is only adding to her anguish, but it pains her to be with him and not be able to touch him! And there is a battle brewing, the demons have found clues as to where their demon blood was hidden, if they find it, they should be able to return to their former bodies or take fresh new ones! The witches that now live with the vampire clan must all come together to defeat this evil, if not, then the world will become a demon’s playground. So what will happen between Shea and Jesse? If the vampires don’t trust him will she be able to walk away from her coven? Can her curse be broken? And if so can Jesse and Shea be together? Can the witches stop the demons? Can they get Jesse to help them? Or does he still have a dark motive? That was a great way to end the series. And now with a little research, I’ve found out there will be a spin off (there is one with the werewolves that tried to help) more vampires and witches. I’m just hoping it’s as good as this series has been.

Reading paranormal romance has been tough for me lately. Everything I’ve picked up in the past few months has had a “been there, done that” feel to it. (There’s only so many tough, sassy heroines and dark brooding heroes I can take, you know?) But the Deathless Night series is one I’ve stuck with from the beginning, and I wasn’t about to skip the final book, especially when it was about my book boyfriend in the series (Jesse, the warlock). And I have to say a great big thanks to the reading gods (and, you know, the author, of course) for this one, because it helped restore my faith in the paranormal genre as a whole.
This author is kind of a master of writing vampire heroes that can be dark and twisty with horrific pasts (see Dante from Blood Submission), yet still redeemable, sweet, and swoon-worthy, and the smart, sassy, quirky witches who love them. In this book, the tables are turned and the vampire is a woman, and the hero is the magic man (in more ways than one. Rawr). Seeing that kind of turnabout was a welcome addition to the series (and to the genre in general, really). The plot was intricate without being TOO intricate (I hate having to think too hard while I’m reading, you know?), there were no annoying grammatical/spelling errors to pull me out of the story, and the dialogue was smooth and realistic. Sexy times were VERY sexy. (No super clean, closed door sex here, folks. This couple is steamy with a side of holy-God-that-was-hot)
I will admit that there were a couple of times in the story where I wanted to reach through my Kindle, grab Shea by the throat, and yell at her. (Just let him try and touch you, damn it! Give the poor man a chance!) But if she’d just fallen on her back with her legs up in the air the second the hero showed up, it would’ve been a super short book, and that wouldn’t have made me happy either. So, I guess it’s good that the author went ahead and did things her way. Whatever. (*Grumbles about poor Jesse and how hard he had to work to win Shea over*)
All in all, this is a bittersweet read. Sweet because it was, you know, really good—but still a little bitter because this was the last book in the series. I’ll miss you, Nik, Luuk, Aiden, Shea, Dante and Christian! But Jesse, I think I’ll miss you most of all…
Note: we received an ARC from the author free of charge.
I didn’t think this book was BAD, however, I felt like I was in a teenagers emo dream or in papa roaches music video “I tore my heart open I sewed myself shut. My weakness is that I care too much”. Like everything was just…. Soooooooo melodramatic.
Great I’m going to have that stuck in my head for days now. 😑
What really turned me off was the FC. Dear lord girl either fix yourself or ask for help. But wallowing in your misery is NOT a good look. Like girl didn’t even TRY TO TOUCH HER MATE TO SEE IF SHE CAN BUT JUST ASSUMED SHE COULDNT SO SHE JUST SULKED. This book made me depressed so I just stopped around chapter 20. 🤷♀️
It’s so sad that no matter what powerful immortal the FC is, she’s still significantly weaker and emotionally unstable than the MC. If the FC was a witch, she’s nothing but a weak human with magic to help heal or grow plants. Where the MC is concerned he would be the complete opposite- a powerful vampire who happens to be the most powerful of his kind. If the FC is a vampire and the MC is a wolf. Obviously the FC is only vampire by name only and she’s probably on the run from a more powerful man vampire. Even still the MC wolf ends up being the most alpha wolf always way older than FC immortal age. And waaaay more powerful. Now when the roles are switched the FC ends up being a docile pup probably on the run from the alpha of her pack who wants to force a mating with and runs into the powerful vampire MC who saves her.
Or take this story for example. The FC is a vampire so she should be strong right? Nope. She’s no stronger than that of a human. A vampire only by name. Where the MC is a super powerful and magical witch. The most powerful. The vampire FC is easily subdued by the powerful witch. Now switch these sexes and the witch will be nothing more than a human while the vampire will be strongest of his clan.
Like it really never fails. Every story is the same just with different names. Same backstories, same stereotypes, same same same. It’s so exhausting that new authors really can’t think up anything new. Like you chose writing as a career but all you do is copy the year’s Top Tropes and make the story about a princess needing her dark knight to save her (queue Disney’s retelling of whatever).
It’s so lazy and why do so many people buy the same damn story is beyond me.
4.75 stars - book 6 is the best of the series, and Shea & Jesse are exactly what I was hoping for. A Vampire's Choice is the last of the Deathless Night series but not the end, as it's companion series follows in some form of connection to it [still partway thru that 1st book].
I enjoyed so much about this last entry. Every character grows and we come to know them better. There's still SO SO much that we don't have clearly laid out yet [for readers or the main characters], but the essential points are there for us. We have flawed people making the best choices that they can, and adjusting as appropriate. They wrestle with fears and insecurities. They struggle with trust at times. There are competing interests, with is a moral compass in the middle that pulls each of them. And that's what we want. A twist or two helps. And we get a semi-settled finish.
Great series and I hope it continues. Shea hasn't been able to be touched by a male since Keira cursed her. She's watched all of her vampire family find their mates and feels left out. The problem is the one she is drawn to is the warlock who tortured Luukas. Jesse felt an immediate attraction to Shea and kept her as his prisoner to protect her from the evil vampire. He finally let's her go but neither one can stop thinking about the other. Jesse gives in and convinces Shea to help him track down the demons. His agenda is to free them and Shea is determined to make sure they are destroyed. To make matters more complicated they realize they are true mates. Their story is full of conflict but in the end love wins. Excellent.
What a fantastic read this was . I didn't want it to end and read it as slowly as I could for that purpose. Shea and Jessie are both stubborn and downright forceful in their beliefs of what's right and wrong. Both would do anything to protect one another when they finally accepted each other and both would fight to the end to protect the ones they loved even if Shea's family weren't to hot on Jessie being Shea's mate . I really hope that there will be more books in this series as I've come to really enjoy these characters immensely. Highly recommend this series to those who love vampires and their fated mates and a awesome storyline that will keep you hooked .
Jesse and Shea Given a choice of betraying your family or your Fated Mate-who do you choose?? Either way you lose big time!! When you have to make the decision, how do you decide??How do you take a chance on losing everything to protect those you love so much?? How do you make that sacrifice and still remain some semblance of whole?? This is their story!! Ms Wilson nailed it!!! LOVED IT!! A MUST read for sure!! 100 stars if I could!!!! I received an ARC to read and review voluntarily.
I just love the intrigue the author spins. Really happy she chose to become a writer.
Had a soft spot for Jesse since we first met him in the second book and I was not disapointed by his story. Glad to get to know what the deal was with Shea sonce I was unhappy with her earlier behaviour toward Ryan.
Great story and I'm hoping for a follow up with how they take on Jesses and Ryans father.

WOW . A great read. Loved eveything about it. Shea and Jesse what a hot couple. Yes they had hurdles to overcome but they fought to be together. Good againts evil. Im hoping that L.E. Wilson will tell us if Jesse manages to remove his father off the throne. Woukd recommend this book to any and everyone. :)
I'm so sad to see this series over. I really hope to see more books in the future for these amazing characters. This last book definitely kept me on my toes from start to finish. I had no idea how things were going to turn out or what would happen from one minute to the next. Such an amazing read!!
All of the books in this series are well written; have powerful males and extraordinary females. Though somewhat stand alone stories, I strongly recommend you read them in order. Once again....hot and sexy, plenty of angst, strong story lines AND happily ever afters !! L.E. Wilson has hit a homerun.
I loved this series so much! The last book was a great tie-in for all of the relationships created throughout the series, but I was left with a lot of questions at the end of the final book. It left off in a place where I can forsee a continuation or another series branching off of it...or maybe I am just hopeful! I love her writing!
I am so sad this series is over :'( I have loved every book in the series! If vampires are your dirty little secret then you will definitely want to dive into this series! Fantastic characters with a fast paced storyline. Shea's story may just be my all time fav!
This book is sooo good. It’s book 6 of the Deathless nights series. I didn’t realize it was book 6 while reading but found out it’s like a standalone but it’s recommended to read in order. So now I’m on to book one. But I loved the story!
