While on a chaste pilgrimage to the Chasm, Sassik buys Blue to save her from violation.

Yes, he will train the stubborn human and punish her when needed, but when Blue willingly opens her legs for him, he understands the depths of his twisted desires.

Selling her can be his only option.

The gritty, violent world of Aerthe will crush the life and spirit of anyone not able to fight for their existence with weapons, teeth, and claws.

But Blue is from Earth.

Having recently escaped from being kept as a blood-slave, being owned is way down at the bottom of Blue’s bucket list. If she can’t escape, maybe she’ll do the next-best thing and take down Sassik while trying.

This is a dark romance with rough sexual scenes and kink.

Fated Possession was originally published in the Alien Alphas anthology.
It can also be found as a bonus story in Branded Possession, Book 3 in The Machinery of Desire series, and is a spin-off story based in the same world of Aerthe.

There’s only one person that can come up with a series like this.....and that’s Cari!
I love her evil kinkiness in all the worlds she creates and Earthe is one those worlds.
Fated Possession is a story that was originally published as part of Alien Alphas, but now gets the attention it deserved from the start. If you’re new to the series,i dó have to warn you,though....you’ll understand Earthe best if you start with the first story,Acquired Possession

This is the story of Blue, who was snatched from earth by the Mekkers and finally managed to escape.
She’s quickly caught by a group of Scavs, who have evil plans for her. Until Sassik arrives and simply buys her from them. He doesn’t even fear those thugs.....no,they’re more afraid of him it seems....That man....who ís that man? Why did he really buy her? What does he really want with her? What does he do to her? Make her feel.....what?

Blue’s story had me all hot and bothered, but i loved every second of it!

This was a delightful story set in this dystopian world. Yes, the woman must be his slave in order to stay alive, but he doesn't abuse her more than she likes. The evolution of Sassik is endearing and the end result gives more hope for this messed-up world than any of the full-length stories.

Well I have to say this was a rather interesting story of Blue who's from Earth and who escaped her captors from whom she was used as a blood slave and has not only jumped from one fire and into another one but a much bigger and more dangerous one. She's been bought by aestos to be sold and used and punished by him for when she doesn't obey and boy does she not obey, but it seems he might have changed his mind. This was one dirty read from Cari and trust her to write an extraordinary story like this.

This is just my opinion and my review

A short story that takes place in the Machinery of Desire World. It give a glimpse into the world and land of Aethe while we follow Blue and Sassik on their journey. What I loved about this story is that it is not just a physical journey, but also one of the heart and soul. And what you truly desire

With a mix of steampunk and sci-fi Cari Silverwood pens, a unique short story for some will be a new world with just a tad bit of dark. I'd even say love in their own special way.

A human slave escapes the clutches of her captors only to fall into the hands of another captor. Is like jumping from the fire into the frying pan? Not so much though Sassik was a man on a different mission one that didn't include owning or taking care of a slave. Or so he had to tell himself repeatedly. He was sure what he was going to do up until the little blue-haired slave popped into his life.

Rebellious little slave, she is always doing something opposite of what she's told but even she is a contradiction, saying one thing, feeling something else. so sit on down enjoy the world that Cari has created true to her style a bit of spanking, collars and a few other toys.

I am fascinated by this cruel, magical, alien world Ms. Silverwood has perfectly crafted. It is a world of warring factions where slavery is the norm and it’s survival of the fittest or cruelest. Fortunately there a few decent, sexy men around and this short story focuses on one of them, Sassik. He stumbles across and rescues a slave,a kidnappped human named Blue. A strong, capable woman whose main focus is to regain her freedom and return home to Earth. This is their story as they travel to a spiritual place called the Chasm. Along the way they encounter all sorts of perils. Feelings develop and difficult decisions must be made. There is heart pounding action, steamy, hot sex and a satisfying unexpected conclusion.

Blue and Sassik!
A love story that can only happen this way on Aerthe.
Blue, recently snatched from Earth, escapes from a Swathe but instead of being free, she falls into the hands of a roaming Scav band. They either want to use her or sell her to the highest bidder. Sassik, disillusioned, a curious mix of mediator, killer, slave trainer, buys Blue off her captors. At first this seems a strict bussiness deal, buy her off the men who caught her, train her as a submissive-- no feelings involved--sell her to the highest bidder. Easy!
Well, not quite. During their time together, they begin to get to know each other not only as master and sub, but as individuals. The awareness of who they are, puts them on their way to the real meaning of their lives. And what they find is a true surprise.
Being by Ms Silverwood, this story has all the hallmarks of her Possession series. Scorching hot scenes that will make you twitch and wiggle while reading! And on the other hand a much deeper meaning that will carry on into the rest of the series.
Delicious!

OMG! I loved this one! Blue is sassy and daring to the point of insanity. Sassik is dark, dangerous, and sweet underneath all that toughness. I loved their chemistry, they way they tried to deny their feelings, and the surprise ending. I totally wasn't expecting that and I now have more questions than I did before. I'm not sure how many books Ms. Silverwood is planning on doing in this twisted world but I hope the series goes on forever. The more I learn about Aerthe and the different species who live there the more I want to know. This is a must read for people who like a complex plot, interesting characters, and a little pain with their pleasure.

I read this book as part of the Alien Alphas Box Set, although it's part of the Machinery of Desire series. Blue didn't expect to escape the chains of ownership only to find herself a slave to another more dangerous owner! This short read had all the sexy and kinky tidbits I was hoping for, as well as some good old fashioned chemistry! Sassik has plans that don't include having a feisty slave who keeps his lusty desires cranked up. I loved this gem that fit right into the MoD series.

The Machinery of Desire, Book 3.5. We return to Aerthe…and I was blown away!

Where am I? How did I get here? I KNOW I’m not on Earth! What is Aerthe? It’s terrifying! I’ve been a blood slave since I arrived. Through sheer happenstance, I escaped my Mekker masters. But have I gone from the frying pan into the fire when I fall into Sassik’s hands? His dominance pushes every button I have, but I will NEVER be owned again… NEVER!

Blue’s everything I DON’T need! How did she get here? Human blood slaves NEVER escape the Mekkers! My journey’s the only thing that matters. She’s only in the way. And her defiance might just be my undoing!. There’s only one answer. But I can’t just—can I? And what about Aerthe herself? I have no idea where the answers lie. But something has to give. We’re going to kill each other unless… Or is there another way?

Every time I get to visit Cari Silverwood’s Aerthe, I’m breathless with anticipation at what I’m going to find. There's true beauty and wonder in this strange alternate reality. The converse is also true. Violence, hatred, evil, and death abound. There's so much uncertainty and mystery. Aerthe’s cruel, magical, terrifying, mystifying, and stunning. Cari Silverwood is a magician. Her words bewitch and captivate. Every character in this book is riveting. The story’s a delicious mixture of complexity, a unique combination of darkness and light, enchanting in every way. And this story is as hot and sexy as hell! How? You’ll have to read the book to find out! I LOVE this series! This is a short read, but I loved it! Thank you, Ms. Silverwood. This book is the perfect combination of hot sexiness, alluring dark, and the totally unexpected.

A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language, sexual scenes, and some dark themes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. Check the book blurbs and reviews available on Goodreads, BookBub, and Amazon. Please use them before buying this book. I don’t just recommend Fated Possession. It’s an absolute must read.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

💙 LOVE this book, and series, so much! 💙

Aerthe is definitely not a planet you want to be as a human, but holy hotness does it create some strong, dominant, capable males.
So if you’re gonna find yourself stuck on a planet which enslaves humans like Blue has, crossed fingers you get an owner like Sassik (or Mako from book one. Or Sawyer from book two.)
The dub-con turned consensual is so well done and leaves me super squirmy. This author is one of my absolute faves for kink and D/s and M/s dynamics. And this series especially is on point.
So read this short little story which may easily be read as a standalone, and then go read the rest of this amazing series!

Fated Possession by Cari Silverwood

This is a great novel about Sassik and Blue. It follows along with the Machinery of Desire world. While this is a novella it seems like a full story. There was humor, there was steam, there was a little mystery as you tried to discover who certain characters were. The ending was vague in it left it open for you to decide if it was happily ever after or not. Knowing this authors work, I can say that not everything is as it seems. If you haven't read the first two books (both standalones) then I would highly recommend that you do that as the world is phenomenal.

This fast-paced read takes place in the Machinery of Desire World but can easily be read as a stand- alone. This is the story of Blue and Sassik. Blue is a blood slave who escapes and ends up in the hands of Sassik, who is unsure what to do with her. The end up working together to learn more about this living planet called Aerthe and discover its mysteries. While on this journey Sassik is all too happy to discipline Blue any way he sees fit. Will he really be able to let her go? Intense, off the charts of with plenty of twists and turns. A great addition to this series.

The story takes place in Silverwood's Machinery of Desire world, but can easily be read as a standalone. I love how she begins the story: smack dab in the middle of the action. Blue the human slave, takes advantage of a skirmish and makes a run for it. She runs away from one bad situation into another, when the wrong men find her. But the man Sassik takes control of her. Sassik is part of the rebels fighting the Mekkers, and those that read the other Machinery books will recognize him. But the question to the reader is, in a scary, unknown world full of evil men, are there any that can be trusted?

Blue and Sassik go on a retreat of sorts, trying to find answers from the earth itself. While the politics of this land are fascinating, its even more interesting to see the population that believes in fate and what we might call "new age" prophecies. Silver wood describes in detail everything, which makes it easy to read the story as a standalone. She also uses high vocabulary, never pandering to a lower audience. It shows a confidence that rips from the pages. When she talks about BDSM elements, she clearly is writing what she knows.

I adored the hints of Silverwood's sense of humor, including the Alice in Wonderland reference. And honestly? I didn't need to have more on these characters. It ended where I thought appropriate. She leaves the ending ambiguous, and it in turn made me smile.

One is a slave and wants to be free and will do almost anything, while the other thinks of reselling her and profit.
When Blue doesn't conform to Sassik's control, well.... Lets say he is more than willing to discipline, take control and get creative with it! There is action, adventure, danger, lust, chemistry, humans, aliens and a whole new world called Aerthe! So well written and entertaining!

This story takes place in the same world as Cari's Machinery of Desire stories. It can be read without being familiar with the stories, but it's nicer to have the extra background of it.

Blue is a human dragged to another world for her blood. Sassik is a man who wants to find out what his destiny is. Neither one of them is what the other expects, but somehow they end up together and all is good.

I love all these books, so getting another little look into this world and another viewpoint on what's going on is excellent. I really liked Blue and Sassik's story.

"science went away and got drunk and forgot to be sensible"

Read as part of the complete Machinery Of Desire series set available from Amazon.

Really enjoying the way this world hangs together. This will work better as a continuation of the first two books in the series, but could be read as a stand-alone.

Recommended.

I really enjoyed this story. I think I like Blue the best of all the heroines so far. She doesn't lie to herself and doesn't fight Sassik nearly as much as she could have. Does that mean she doesn't try to get away? Hell no it doesn't. But she isn't stupid either. She learns and remembers what she was taught and told. She uses her head and thinks rationally and logically instead of just foolishly thinking she knows best and trying to get her way.

I really enjoyed reading this. I'm not sure if we will see the other characters in this book in other books... but I kind of hope so. I'm really curious about Zerlin. I would love to know his story.

I don't know what this was... but how do I give it back? Sorry, heh, kidding.

I laughed way too hard at some things in this I'm pretty sure weren't meant to be funny. I guess I'm growing out of my smut phase. Shame. I have so much smut on my kindle I can't even stand to open anymore. Or even think about reading them anymore.

I only read this to keep my "reading for every month" streak alive because I realized only tonight that I haven't read a single book in December.

Somewhat Confusing.

Perhaps I didn't start at the first book of this series, but the story was confusing to me. How did she get transported? By Whom? ECT.
