The second volume of the dazzling 2000 AD debut – mixing Hollywood noir and occult magic!
In an alternate post-war 1940s Los Angeles, where dark magic is a fact of life, Mallory Hope is a private detective haunted by his past…and by the occult forces he uses.
The story does not require a reading of the first volume but the storytelling does rely on the reader having done so. This individual tale is self-contained but it is written in a beautifully compressed way that page, even each panel, tells so much. A lot of which might be overlooked or confusing without knowledge garnered from the previous volume.
This is dark. This is solely comprised of adult themes. This is a horrific read. But in a good way.
