I am really enjoying this paranormal series. The surprises just keep coming in this action filled book. I love the characters. I don't envy Juliana with all those crushes she has. I don't know how that poor girl is gonna choose. LOL! That ending left me with my jaw hanging open. I want to know what happens next. Unfortunately for me, it isn't out yet.

The story is enjoyable enough I keep reading and want to know more. Really should have hired an editor tho. There's a section of the book where the character named get swapped multiple times. It says everly where it should say Juliana. Things like Everly introduced everyone to Everly....

Editor please

The plot continues to be good, but please get an editor. Missing words and typos bring down the quality of the work.

In this second book, Juliana is getting close to knowing the truth about herself. But the tragic event right at the end of the story conveniently cut it short. Misfortune strikes someone close to Juliana, but, I can't believe he's gone for real. I simply won't accept that the authors would be so cruel to her!

Storywise, I enjoyed the mission set in the haunted forest; however, I wish there had been more challenges and events during the quest. Something that would strengthen the bonds between them.

But maybe working as a team in the future isn't in store for them. Perhaps it was just a one-off mission. Nevertheless, one good thing during the mission was getting Ambur familiar.

Joining the Vixen also plays a big part in the story. A group that we will read more about in the coming book. The nature of friendships and rivalries has been determined in this instalment and no doubt major things will happen next, one that I cannot wait to find out.

Some minor issues, like incorrect character names, don't bother me too much since they don't impact the overall plot. However, the mental block issue between Juliana and Brett is frustrating. Now, Juliana claims she doesn't know how to navigate it. Say what now?

I hope the next book will be better, with few or no mistakes, and feature more action!

I loved it!

It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Welcome to Paranormal Academy, a boarding school for the world’s most elite witches, fairies, vampires, shifters, and other paranormal beings. At the Academy, there are five rules everyone should follow, don’t go out after curfew, stay away from the Vixen, the school’s secret sorority, never go into the Enchanted Forest alone, professors are completely off-limits, and don’t get involved with dark magic users. Juliana Montgomery quickly finds herself breaking every rule in the book. She’s one step closer to unlocking the truth about her paranormal race. She and her friends are sent on a mission over the Halloween break, all they have to do is find a tree. What could possibly go wrong? One hint: everything. Along for the ride are Brett Summers and Kaden Connors, not just one but two of the guys who she is crushing on, this makes things awkward. To make things even worse, the Blackwood Forest is at risk of being burned down. They need to find the tree before it’s lost forever, and if that’s not bad enough, she has no idea what’s in store for her back at Paranormal Academy. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I highly recommend to everyone.

This Is A Must Read Series...

I am so Sad, I can't believe it's over so soon. It seems like I just started to read this book and I 'm already writing the review, How is that even possible ? It went by way too fast and I am not ready for it to end like this. I hope that I don't have to wait to long to get the next book in the series. You have to read this series it is so wonderful, exciting and romantic. This poor girl is all alone in the world and doesn't have the slightest idea of what is happening with her world and the people who surround her. She is up to her eyeballs with shifters, magic users, fairies, pixies and liers. Who should she trust with everything she's learning about herself and what is the real reason that she is at the Academy ?
What is the Headmaster of the Academy hiding from her and the other students about himself and his paranormal identity ? There are so many secrets and who can she trust to get the answers to the many puzzling happenings around her and her friends.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***
OMG! Jayme and Jody Morse sure do not disappoint! Every time I go to read one of their books, I get swept up and inundated into the different worlds they create! This book was no exception! It was fabulous and totally made me wish I was Juliana with her men!
This book picked right up where the last one left off. Wow! It just gets better and better and more problems to keep popping up. I can't believe some of the stuff that happens in this book! OMG, That Ending! It's killing me not to have the next book in the series yet!

This book was such a great read! I recommend checking it out if you have not had the chance! I am now waiting for book 3!!!!

Par for the course, this book had bad writing, bad plotting, bad characterization, and the world makes no sense. Rules for supernatural races change when needed, new powers are introduced as the plot demands it (Oh I forgot fairies can totally do this necessary thing to keep the ball rolling!), and all of the girls talk the same, and all of the boys talk the same. There are four potential love interests, but none of them have any chemistry and none of them have any real personality. The "steamy" scenes aren't steamy at all, and come off very flat. Every chapter brings a new crazy twist that makes no sense except to draw readers in. Overall, just a bad book, but they're free with my kindle unlimited and I support self-published authors, so I keep reading when I have nothing better than to do.

Morally bankrupt tripe. The cover is best part

I gave this series two books in case it improved. It got worse. Riding the edge of erotica in a YA academy book is not unforgivable even insta lust can be at least somewhat OK in an edge of Monte Python parody way, by the murder of innocent beings for no good reason cheerfully chirping ( direct quote) the next morning is not. Excusing terrorist threats to gain compliance by supposed good guys is also inexcusable. This author should have their YA credentials yanked. Stay far away from this series. If you want morally ambiguous writing in a better vein try P. S. Powers work

Paranormal Academy Book 2: Wings and Charms Book 2

Paranormal Academy Book 2: Wings and Charms Book 2 takes everything from the first and just levels up. Juliana’s powers are growing, the world is expanding, and the stakes are starting to feel real. There’s a quest (which = danger and excitement), plus more tension between characters, both romantic and otherwise.

I loved getting more time with the side characters, especially seeing relationships deepen. The pacing is quick, the vibes are moody, and it keeps that nice balance between action and character moments. Definitely feels like we’re building toward something big.

I tried really hard to finish this book. I LOVE the plot of this story. But the whole thing was all over the place. The main character Juliana got attacked by a “dog” in the woods and they kind of just brushed it off. She was more worried about asking questions about her love triangle. It was overly annoying. I wish it was written better and not so jumpy because I feel like it could be a great story. I’m not going to finish it though because it was just too silly.

Better then the first

I enjoyed this book more than the first one. The action was snappier, the world is more interesting & expanded, the pacing picks up, the love interests are hotter and more fleshed out. I will be continuing the series and I hope it continues to be this same quality. Some things were a little cliche, but I felt it had enough unique twists to prevent it from being too boring.

Needs work

The story had a decent foundation. The flow of the story was all over the place, the fmc was so wishy washy and the storyline jumped around too much. It was ok not great but not terrible.

Great book

Spoiler......Liked that she's taking it slow with the guys, just making out. Hard to believe it took her actually shifting into a dragon for her to realize she was a dragon. I mean she could communication with the dragon on the mountain top and with Spike!

It was okay.

More of the same. Just a few revelations about her lineage and unlocking a few more abilities. Ends on a cliffhanger.

Hmmm what to say ...

Did I enjoy this? Yes? Maybe?

Things that lessened my enjoyment:
1. The pacing was sporadic. We'd have a couple full day descriptions and then it would jump a week. Then we'd have another full day, only to jump a month.
2. Plot holes .... So many plot holes
3. A lot of things just didn't add up (refer back to plot holes)
4. Ideas were started, but we're never realized or mentioned again (refer back to plot holes)
5. The ending ... I mean WTF?

Will I continue? I don't know at this point. I think I need a break.
