In his quest to return to his own world, Kanami is determined to conquer the Dungeon and have his wish granted. To do so, he has teamed up with Dia, a swordfighter whose magic stats are off the charts. The two are a formidable team and quickly start clearing floors, but they run into trouble when their high kill count catches the eye of an over-powered enemy!
I started out loving this series, but I'm not sure I want to continue reading this series. I neither loved this book, nor hated it, so I'm somewhere in between. I still like Sieg as a character, but I don't understand Dia. Dia appears female, but he identifies as male. What's so bad about being a tomboyish warrior girl since Dia, for all we know, was born a girl? This series is inclusive to transgenderism, but how does that fit in with the rest of the plot? I would have liked more battle and gamer talk, and I'd love to learn more about Lastiara. Who is she, really? How does she fit in with the rest of the storyline? I have more questions than answers, and not in the good way, so... do I really want to finish a series I'm losing interest in...?
A nice second volume, it built quite nicely while also giving more information about the current two main characters. The fight scenes have been great and thats all thanks to the artwork which I really am enjoying up to this point.
I'm still not fully invested yet which is why it's still a 4 star on here, let's see what volunteers 3 has.
