Full disclosure: I did not read this. But I greatly enjoyed listening to my better half read it out loud, complete with character voices, to the 4 and almost 7 year old. They were very into whatever the plot was. And the voices.

The artwork looked like an average American artist getting the hang of drawing in manga style

I am personally, not a fan of the art. The story is alright, he is more of a ninja in his own mind than in the real world.
