After hitting a hunky stranger with her rented Prius in the wilds of Alaska, Kendra hardly expected to end up in bed with him. Even less did she think to find herself pregnant a few weeks later. But when she goes back to the cold north to tell the gruff, mysterious Lorne that hes going to be a father, she discovers that the surprises in her life are just getting started. Werebear Alpha Lorne would never have let the luscious, curvy Kendra out of his sight if not for the battle raging within his den. But when the fiery, independent human woman returns carrying his child, he wont allow her to leave again. Even if it means seducing her until she sees how good they are together. Even if it means fighting his own den to keep her at his side.
Tiffany Allee currently lives in Phoenix, AZ, by way of Chicago and Denver, and is happily married to a secret romantic. She spends her days working in Corporate America while daydreaming about sexy heroes, ass-kicking heroines, and interesting ways to kill people (for her books, of course). Her nights are reserved for writing and bothering her husband and cats (according to them). Her passions include reading, chocolate, travel, wine, and family.
The Bear's Accidental Mate was an okay book for me.
I actually found myself getting quite annoyed with Kendra. She tells Lorne about the baby, but doesn't want to attempt any kind of relationship with him because of her past experience. This is all understandable. However, she uses her past as a crutch to justify keeping distance between herself and anybody else. Kind of stupid to never give a man a chance, even after the one night she ran out on him before he ever got a chance to tell her if he wanted something between them.
Some of the things the author added in seemed to me as if she just threw them in there because she figured she should. For instance she threw in the bit about his sister being banned from the clan, and gave a very brief description. Then after, I assume he killed the elder and nephew, it never explained how the other elders took this or how his clan reacted. Seriously DETAILS PEOPLE! This isn't just mindless information, it's useful!
It's a cute story about a girl who accidentally met a naked man (lucky bitch) when she thought had run over a huge bear. This (naked) man helped her and took her to his cabin. Well, I don't need to say they finished the day in bed.
Two months later she's back because she's pregnant. What she didn't know he was an Alpha bear f his den and he would make everything to keep her and the baby, even then it means he loses his den..
I picked this up as a kindle freebie, and I'm glad I did. I wasn't sure about bear shifter paranormal romance, but the author tells a good story, and the shifter mythology here is a compelling part of the story, rather than tacked on. While it's not a long read, the characters are fleshed out well, and the story has a good blend of spice and sweet. I'm considering picking up more in the series. Which is a solid compliment from me.
While I understand that this is a paranormal romance, I found the instant lust between the main characters a bit unrealistic. If both characters were shifters and it was an instant recognition of a mate, it wouldn't have bothered me, but a human, who doesn't even know Lorne is a shifter, having sex with him five minutes after she hits him with her car was a stretch of believabllity for me. The story line seemed rushed and there was a lot of "information dump" in the story telling.
Driving a rental car in Alaska was enough planned excitement for Kendra, then came the accident that changed everything. From the moment Lorne met Kendra some part of him knew she would change his life.
A man working hard to modernize his stick in the past community meets a level headed, calm woman who thinks things through, and strives to react in a thoughtful and rational manner.
This book was very good & fast paced; for me sometimes that makes the story very good.
Kendra while on the way to a team building exercise for work in a rental car in Alaska accidentally hits a bear; but the bear was more interested in making sure that she wasn’t hurt than mad at her for hitting him with the car.
That is the beginning of their relationship & now it’s your turn to read the book to find out what happens next in their story.
This book is about unexpected love between a human and a shifter. Kendra hit a man (really a bear at the time of the accident) with her car. Lorne, the bear shifter and Alpha, arranged to have her fixed and brought Kendra to his house. Their attraction to each other was strong and immediate and ended up in a little surprise. Lorne's pack did not believe in mixing with humans and they had a fight to stay together. Love overcomes.
Another great series by Tiffany Alley. We meet the shifter bear pack of Ursa Hallow and their sexy alpha who gets run over by a quirky human who was trying to get to a work thing. After a steamy night together unforeseen circumstances bring them together again, but they didn't know hey we're going to fight against the whole town for heir HEA.
Kendra has a one night stand with Lorne the Alpha of a den. She finds out she is pregnant and returns to Alaska to let him know. He knows she is his mate and wants her to stay. Derrick, one of the elders of the clan does not want humans anywhere near the den. Really good.
This was fun and entertaining to read. I liked how Kendra didn't shy away from what she needed to do and neither did Lorne. There were a couple of jumpy spots and it felt like there were more things to get wrapped up, but hopefully that will happen in later books of the series. Was a good, quick read.
This is a fast-paced story with characters that I really liked. The author writes with a sense of humor and has a soft hand with the emotions of each character. She made them likeable, and gives her sex scenes a feeling of making love instead of steamy, hot and racy. It's a good story and leaves plenty of options for follow-up series books.
A good read for people who are in to the series recommend highly can't wait for the next one of the series a really enjoyable read but quick shaping up to be a enjoyable series must read the next one of the series
I will continue with this series and see how it goes. So far its sweet and the touch of underlying evil that creates the drama is very well done. My first of this author and enjoyed it very much.
I found this book discounted via Freebooksy The story is cute but you have to put aside certain things to really enjoy it. Some eye rolls about communication - if they'd only talked to each other, we wouldn't have this problem or that one... She ran because she wasn't sure if she'd be the winner between her and the baby vs. the den. But he'd already told her he would chose her. Editing needs another pass (missing words mostly).
Meh. Quick instant love type of book. I like more of a plot and suspense in my paranormal romance stories. I also like my heroines with more backbone and depth.
I like this little series, not much into her other books but I can read and support these. Well written, great shifter background and a very interesting romance.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was romantic and fun. The shifters being bears was very interesting. i can just emagine the cute little cub these two will have
The book is a short fast read but enjoyed it. It has 2 main characters and you get to see how they meet and their relationship begins and develops. It doesn't really end with a cliffhanger but leaves you wanting to read more of their ztory
I really liked this one... the beginning was a but rushed but I understood that the author wanted to get to the meat of the story and the interaction of the characters after Kendra comes back into Lorn's life. after it gets to that point the story flows very well.
