Stacy Claflin writes about complex women overcoming incredible odds. Whether it's her Gone trilogy of psychological thrillers, her ongoing Transformed paranormal saga, or her Seaside Hunters sweet romance series, Stacy's three-dimensional heroines shine through.
Decades after she wrote her first stories on construction paper and years after typing on an inherited green screen computer that weighed half a ton, Stacy realized her dream of becoming a full-time author.
When she's not busy writing or educating her kids from home, Stacy enjoys watching TV shows like Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, and Once Upon a Time.
This was much better than the first book and I fell in love with the characters even more! The plot got a lot better as well and it kept me in the edge of my seat!
I really started to feel more for the characters and the relationship.
So, yes I like the paranormal and supernatural, but this is more teenage love affair than an interesting supernatural saga, or thriller, or however you want to word it. I can put up with adult romance to get through a good book, but this teenage like drama is just not for me.
The more I read the worse the series gets. I feel like the author was just sitting there thinking "what is the worst decision my characters could make?". There are also so many inconsistencies and plot holes. In the first book he was SHOCKED to find out his dead mate was back from the dead and in his class. In this book we found out that basically every dead person (and dragons too) came back to life about 3 months before they found each other. There are 2 large packs of werewolves and a pack of Jaguars that desperately want to find and kill Victoria, so of course they send her out alone to school (why is she still in school?!) and to Seattle so she can go shopping with her roommate (why doesn't she live with the pack?!). On the shopping trip a Valkyrie and a vampire go with her but she sees her ex and runs away AT HUMAN SPEED but somehow they can't keep up with her and her ex attacks her, then nobody can find her. Everyone in the supernatural world is afraid of this Valkyrie but of course she suddenly sucks when it's convenient for the plot.
This author is the absolute worst. I also feel like there's a lot of Twilight parallels but it feels like the author was just heavily influenced by twilight and not deliberately trying to copy it. Idk it's just bad writing. She needs to take a creative writing workshop or something. She has potential but she's definitely not very good at writing yet.
This is the second book of this series and it starts where that first book ends. I absolutely adored the first book and the same goes for this one. Stacy Claflin is an extremely talented author and i love her work! It definately deserves more than a 5* rating.
I adored this storyline, it is unbelievable addictive and you cant help but obsessively turn the pages to find out what is going to happen next in this action packed adventure filed with many twist and turns throughout. You really do feel it all with the characters, you feel the high emotions that run through this book - the fear, the pain, the hope, the love. I love the pack, and the fact that they dont need to be the same, you dont need to be a werewolf - pack is the true meaning of family and this pack has that down to a tee. There really is so much to this tale, round every corner there is another surprise, it doesnt feel rushed or too packed with information. There is a reason for all the information that is there, its not just there to fill the book out. I could have read on and on and cant wait to see what happens next in this tale. I do have a favourite character and i think it may come as a surprise but its Alex, there is something about him that is so protective, there is so much to him and his personality that we dont know as it is so hard for the rest of the pack to communicate with him and vise versa. I love reading about his character. I really admire Victoria, after everything she has been through, she is still so strong and determined, many people in her situation would have given up long before. She tries to stay strong for all those around her, especially Toby, she doesn't like to show weakness. Victoria is everything to Toby and he will do anything to keep her safe now he has found her again. He is a strong Alpha and his pack love and respect him and also Victoria as she is their Alpha's mate. There are so many characters in this book that i love... too many to mention and i wouldn't want to give away anything from this book and spoil the surprises.
I adore this book and the author is so mega talented!! This is a serious must read or all!! Amazing book!!!
I’m not sure I guess I didn’t read a head of time but this must be a very simple jr fiction book. The world seems cool and has so much potential but the storyline is so simple and slow. The Alpha Tobby constantly mopping around about having had a love interest for a short time with the vampire queen when Victoria was dead is so juvenile, she was Dead! Obviously you were meant to move on you would never expect her to come back from death! And the little stolen kisses between Tobby & Victoria is annoying, if they had actually longed for each other for decades and she came back from the dead I highly doubt you would just be okay with a couple kisses… man this book is slow! Where’s the passion? Also Tobby can act as bad as his father when talking to his friend and second in command when he brought up the good idea of asking for more help from the vampires & dragons Tobby just shot him down & asked him if he wanted to leave the pack. That’s definitely not a sign of a good leader!
I just finished reading this book - I love the way the story flowed and how it weaved into the other characters. They all go through something that could kill all of them-and they do it as a family-I love how they are a mixed group and still get along.
Victoria and Tory prove that a deep and true love lasts forever and they go through a lot.
I love the other characters in the book and you will see why.
I can hardly wait to read the rest of the Series, Hunted Wolf, Broken Wolf and Cursed Wolf.
I just learned that there is a Transformed Series that is where it all started. I will read ALL of those also. (12 books in all).
Please read these books from Stacy Claflin - I am sure that you will like them as much as I do.
Two things that would have made the book better: If Toby had listened to Victoria & married her that night. Then when Franklin married her it would have been bigamy, but still broken the curse. If Victoria had told Carter about the hidden cameras in his house after Toby's abduction. Then he could have found a way to disable them when he was spying. Several people get kidnapped for helping Victoria. A wedding does occur in the book but you won't expect who's! Toby & Victoria's fathers are back to right a wrong in their twisted minds. Can they find out how to save Victoria before it's too late?
There was definitely a lot of stuff happening at the same time that had me worried just how much would get solved or done in just the one book, granted I know everything wouldn't and it is a nice way to set up things for future books but still kind of felt like a lot all at once. Let's just say there were some *creative* ways I though of in my head on his to get revenge and a subsequent death to Franklin and Victoria's Father. Though one characters departure was sad, in some ways I wonder if there should have been like some kind of memorial or something. Also Brick and Soliel's budding romance is so adorable. Can't wait though to start the next one.
Finally Victoria can finally run with her pack, she’s free of her family and looking forward to being with Toby for good. Now all they need to discover is who took her memories and her ability to shift. I can’t wait to find out. ( her sister, is she alive or dead, it’s a little confusing. One minute Victoria says she gone, the next she’s missing.) I hope the next book clears that up.
I am enjoying the story of Victoria, Toby and their inclusive pack. With each challenge they build a stronger community that takes care of each other. It also speaks to good winning over evil and I glad the former packs, though causing harm, were not victorious.
I'm looking forward to the next books in the series because it keeps my interest and has a great message of what makes a family.
Amazing book just couldn't put it down. Of cousre Victoria back and so with Toby . With the help of high witch, a valkyrie, and a former troll king and s few others they help her find her lost remebers and find out who the curse body is what it is for. To know more about this book grab your copy today a so so so must read!!!!!!!
Very addicting! I had to know what was going on at all times, I was scared for Victoria and all the others ,all were in danger those jags freaked me out on how much power they had. I'm heartbroken for Dillon. Poor guy didn't make it but good things did come after the nightmare was over, but worried it not over?!
I can't believe that that psycho dragged her and made her try 2 marry cause of the curse. But it's strange that she keeps on going back and forth with the shifting and they think it might have sum thing 2 do with her moods. It's really good that they r all safe now except that Dillon ending up dieing in the process. Hopefully it'll get better asap!!
In my opinion Chosen Wolf is even better than Lost Wolf. Victoria & Toby truly have a love that survives even in death. The author did a great job of making me feel the pain Victoria feels by not being able to shift, very painful. Their families are truly evil and easy to extremely dislike. Will they find the cure? Will they eventually be able to shift at will? Can't wait for book 3.
It's has a lot of nice characters but there's no spiciness or burn should I say it left me with more questions, like if she was getting her memories back how come she didn't remember the curse ... it jumps ahead a lot and doesn't give warning, just gotta figure it out yourself, overall I liked .
A continuation of Book 1 in the saga of Toby and Victoria. Lots of unrequited love that is shrouded in paranormal angst and secrets. Spellbinding....or rather Spellbreaking.
Toby and Victoria's story is literally about a love that lasts through the ages. Even with all of the obstacles thrown in front of them, they are always drawn to each other and don't stop trying to get to each other until they've succeeded.
I really enjoyed it. I love action and adventure. It was an interesting story. Kept my attention to the end. Read in two days. I'm just wondering how the rest of the series will play out if this one ended where it did.
I enjoyed reading book 2 of the Curse of the Moon series. We finally got some answers, but not after a lot of fretting and nail-biting moments. It had a happy end even though we know it's not really the end. Looking forward to whatever comes next.
Absolutely love this series so mane paranormal creatures curses loves and all trying to help one another wolves vampires jaguar witches and so much more from old time clAns to modern day
