DNFed at the end of chapter 4, that's 20% or so.

I hate to do this, because I won the book and I feel bad hitting the author with a one-star. That Aubible code could have gone to someone who would have more enjoyed it. But I just can't finish this book. I tried, I really did. It is too ridiculous. Random things happening to random people who randomly appear and randomly disappear. Cheesy writing. It's bad. For a little while I listened and laughed, enjoying it in a 'it's so bad it's good' sort of way. But that was short-lived.

Judging by the fact that I caught my 10yo daughter following me around at one point while I was listening to it, I can maybe say I would like it if I was younger. But I just don't think even that would save this for me. I realize the author states that she writes anime-style books and I should have maybe been warned, but even anime-style books need pacing and to make sense. This one does not. Yes, I can see it animated in a crazy shonen style, and that might work. But not as a book one wishes to actually read (or listen to).

Lastly, I'm iffy about the pen name KuroKoneko Kamen. The author isn't Japanese, as far as I can tell, and taking a name like that and writing in a classically Japanese style feels very appropriative to me. All in all, I have to apologize for even entering the giveaway to start with. I'm that bad a match for this book.

First i received the audio of the book form the author for free for a review.I am going to tell you about a great audio book i have read the author wizard audio .The audio is about the merman of Hollywood and how i got there

Hello my name is Levi and i am a merman you humans do not know me you see there is mermaid but not me why because i i protect the animals ,You see i go around and protect the animal of the oceans and then i watch the dolphin and then the whales.

The story goes when they killed 16.000 whale and i was going to have revenge i am going to get even well it went on and i deiced to destroy the boat well i did destroy the ships and then i got caught and there was 5 of the diver they shot me with dart to put me out.

Now i a in a place i do not know were it is and then there is a guy n the doctor suit and then now he said he going to cut his organs out one by one and then you see when i grew the part and then he took my heart and then was going to take the liver and other pats.

Well you goons came in the room they were guard and then i look at them they were not human they were half human and then some had tail and then they came at me and i threw them against the wall and then i left the room they had had clothes and then they had shoes so they can run after me i had not shoe or they call and then my feet were bloodied .

Now i am hiding in corner and then watch the people coming back i can smell the salt water and if i get there
and i could change back to my merman and get out and away well some one smoking and he said you want out
of here and he said that he can take me out of here and then he told me get in the sub and he took me to San
Fransisco and i got in the water and then i end up on the beach,

But things happen i am naked and then i am walking around town and then i ended up in the mall and was standing and then the police came i did not know of the police and then i ended up in the jail well i walk out of jail and wanted to get to the water as soon as possible.

Now 3 years later thing have changed i own with friends a restaurant we make all the food and the stuff is good you see the food is enchanted and t he rules are you eat the food and then you do not leave any food.

The restaurant is getting pack it has the movie people coming in and out and then they hear a crash one of th guy in the crew threw his bowl of soup down and Levi went over grab the guy and threw him out the door and then the rest try to beat him up they all went out the door to the ground and then he told them you do not waste food.

Well now income the star of the show and then said the guy will not do that to the restaurant again Well thing go on and then the star found out my secret you see i went to the ocean for the animal at night and then i was on the shore and my legs came on and i was looking for the swimming trunks but low and behold there was
the star and now she going to keep my secret but she now i got to go to the movie set and be the merman on the set and she was to be a princess and then the man she was suppose to be in love with .

Well the movie is being filmed and then i work the restaurant but the story goes on the group were at the bar having drinks and then some one got kidnapped and now i can not say any more,

This is an unusual read and not quite like any I have read before, so kudos to the author and a vivid imagination. The story is told in a numerous amount of ways, including a lot of flashbacks that take the reader into the supernatural. First off, the story is about Levi Deviin, who is actually a merman. When he is captured and brought to land, he grows legs and is being held in jail. After getting out, Levi and his partners run Poseidon's Trident, a seafood restaurant. It is here that Levi finds out about a movie being made about what else,a merman and he is thrown accidentally into the lead. I know this all sounds a bit confusing, but the author will tie up most loose ends and take readers on a twisted tale I think is a fairly entertaining.

I did enjoy this book but it started out really slow for me. I couldn't keep focused on it and kept putting it down. It did finally pick up and I enjoyed it so much more the further I got into the book. I love the idea of a merman trying to hide his identity while portraying a merman in a movie. This book certainly had an interesting concept. Overall, I enjoyed the book and the chance to read something by an author I have never read before.

This Audio was unique in the story itself. The narrator did a good job as Levi. It’s a very unique and interesting take on Hollywood, love, and the paranormal. It was and easy listen and I found myself laughing quite a bit. The characters were developed throughout the story though flashbacks and present day accounts. It was refreshing to have the male lead being the virgin. The author has a great imagination and definitely takes you on a roller coaster of adventure. It will be great to hear the follow up story.

While this book started out slow for me and that slowness caused me to not be able to focus during the first part of it, I was able to get through that and loved the interesting concept of a merman hiding his identity while playing a merman in a movie.

Wow it’s a great paranormal merman story. The author told it by every detail . He also has a great imagination. It’s also human nature not to understand what you don’t know (the merman ) and human nature Human to want to control and change the world.
This showed how life is . It’s also a great love story.
This is the first narrator I heard from Justin Cipriano ? He was very good. His voice was good and he knew how to make the different points in the story
