Snowman Paul and his friends celebrate Halloween in a spooky tree house. Trick-or-treaters are in for exciting encounters with outer-space aliens, flying witches, dancing dragons and grouchy ghosts.!
Join Snowman Paul for a terrific Halloween adventure but remember: You've been warned!
Don't dare come near this tree house. Don't even risk a glance. But if you do, we're warning you: There is no second chance!
I absolutely adore Snowman Paul and his shenanigans! He's such a sweet character with a fun array of stories. This time around he's taking part in my favourite holidays: Halloween!
Our friend in this story comes across many warnings as he's walking: aliens, witches and Snowman Paul in a dragon costume!
I absolutely love the soft and colourful pictures in this book! They are detailed enough to pull you in and colourful enough to grab your attention! Bight greens and oranges give it a more spooky feel to go along with the Halloween feel. And there's also a super cute rhyming scheme that had me singing in my head as I read the book. It adds to the fun level.
Yet again, Yossi Lapid has a hit on his hands! If you have little ones and are looking for a fun picture book, pick up this series. It is totally worth it!
Five out of five stars.
I received a free copy of this book from the author, Yossi Lapid, in exchange of an honest review.
He'll Sneak Up Close Behind You, And Scare You With A "BOO!!"
My 4 year old son LOVES reading Halloween books and he really loved this one. Beautifully Illustrated (I'm in love with the Illustrations, especially the "Diversity" of the children) There was a picture with a dog jumping out dressed as a ghost (and my son couldn't stop laughing) my son always points out the dog doing silly things and funny faces... He made me read this book "3" times! We really enjoyed reading this one together.
Yara’s Tawari Tree is a children’s picture book written by Yossi Lapid.
Tara lives in the Amazon forest with her mother and a pet bird, Chant. The forest was getting cleared tree by tree in the name of modernization. Tara saves one tiny seedling’s life by planting it in her garden. This story drives home an important point that when you protect nature, it protects you.
I loved the bright colors in this book, the greenery, the green parrot and the red dress of Tara. It is a perfect book to introduce the importance of plants to 3-5 year olds.
Thank you to Netgalley and Independent Book Publishers Association for the ARC.
A sweet educative and fun book that teaches kids how to love and treasure their forest and trees. Not only for building homes but for medicine as well. A unique way of educating kids about the importance of our forests.
This is a rhyming book about Halloween featuring Snowman Paul from the Snowman Paul series. The cute illustrations help make this book fun, rather than scary, although the text warns about scary encounters - like meeting witches or scary ghosts. (The dog dressed up as a ghost and Snowman Paul dressed as a dragon add some fun silliness.)
This is a fun read. The illustrations are fantastic. The rhyming kept the kid's attention. It was the perfect length page wise.
My kids and I love anything Halloween so when I saw this ARC, I knew it was a must read. This was our first Snowman Paul book, and it won't be our last!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Warning # 1. Don’t come near the treehouse! Strange aliens will see you. They’ll put you in their spaceship. And off into space you’ll go. Warning # 2. Beware of thee witch’s wrath. She will put you on her broomstick and fly you to her house. And yuk, how does that green potion taste? Wow, you turned into a mouse. Warning # 3. If you climb up the ladder you will feel a scary touch. Hop aboard and the dragon will give you the ride of your life. Warning # 4. The ghost is in a grouchy mood. BOO! It's Halloween, you want to play a spooky game?
A very awesome book cover, fabulous hand drawn pictures, great font & writing style. A very well written children’s adventure book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s adventure movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

I was delighted to see a new release in the Snowman Paul series because I have previously enjoyed this author’s funny character and memorable illustrations.
This new book features a tree house on Halloween night. As visitors come upon the site, they encounter a warning sign not to come near the tree house. Who can refuse a dare on Halloween night? As the reader continues his journey three more warnings are posted. Visitors are warned of many types of danger. Trespassers might encounter space aliens, witches or ghosts.
I won’t give away where Paul fits into this picture, but readers will be urged to tell spooky stories and sing scary songs. Trick or treaters will not be disappointed.
This multicultural book is replete with large, soft and expressive watercolor illustrations that are not too scary for the youngest readers. Recommended especially for children in the three to eight-year-old age range. Warning…adults will enjoy the book even more than the kids. Well done!
I was given a copy of this book by the author and voluntarily decided to review with my honest opinions for no compensation.
First let me say that the rhyming in this book is perfect and the watercolour illustrations are truly beautiful. Snowman Paul and his friend Dan are going to immerse you in a fun Halloween adventure that includes, aliens, dragons, a red-headed witch and a very mean ghost. They invite you to join them in a spooky game and song and encourage you to huddle with them in case something goes wrong.
There are warning signs posted as you enter into the story that build up excitement and suspense as you strive to reach the party's destination. The venue is a big old tree house positioned high atop a tree having a backdrop of a black night sky and a full moon. The Halloween night is shrouded in an eery ambiance of caution. Oh my ... dare you attempt to proceed?
Luckily the author balances the spookiness of the night with adorable characters and humour so little ones can join right in the fun and not be frightened. Kids will love this holiday-themed book and it is spot on for beginner readers to enjoy. I highly recommend this book and all the books in the "Snowman Paul" series.
This volume is simply amazing. And for those who love Halloween, it's definitely going to be their favorite for a long time. I got an advanced copy of this book, and I already read countless times always pausing to admire the art. How many books featuring Trick-or-Treat are out there? Plenty, but not so many as engaging as this one.
I felt I was part of the story when the first Warning sign appeared. It's like I'm right there Trick-or-Treating with them. It almost like we're playing a game. We forget about children in costume and accept the characters as who they are, embracing Halloween as a magical trip to another realm.
I have to praise the author, and the illustrator for the diversity represented not only by the Halloween characters but by the children playing them. It will relate to children of many cultures.
This volume is great for teachers to introduce the Halloween theme and vocabulary to their ESL students around the world, or even to make a fun Halloween lesson where Halloween is already so loved.
Yossi Lapid is a very delightful writer of children’s tales. His books about Snowman Paul are wonderful, gripping, just the kind of books that kids enjoy and treasure and like to tell their friends about. The stories are great, even humorous. Joanna Pasek adds very beautiful eye-catching colorful drawings. Both the story about Halloween and the illustrations are unforgettable. The book captures the Halloween theme perfectly. Children will remember the exciting and spooky and funny tale for years. This Halloween story is told with clever humorous poetry. Snowman Paul and his human friends are very likable. They go through happy and unusual activities on Halloween. These include space travel and witches.
If you are looking for a Halloween Night book to get your young ones ready to go trick or treating , I highly recommend this Yossi Lapid's newest Snowman Paul's book. Snowman Paul and his friend go to a haunted tree house for a party. When they get there there are warning signs. Warning #1. Watch out for Aliens and Dragons. Warning #2. Is about witches. Warning #3. A dragon ride could be in your future. Warning #4. Can't forget ghosts, it is Halloween. The Ending will make you smile, as all Snowman Paul's book will do. Happy Spooky Reading. I was gifted this book for an honest review
This Snowman Paul story features gorgeously vibrant illustrations with a cute Halloween story. I only wish it was compatible with my Kindle App on my iPhone or my Kindle EReader.
I love the illustrations! Great rhymes and a variety of Halloween concepts. I love how the story is a kid's path to the treehouse for a Halloween party. So fun! There is a lot to look at and enjoy on each page.
Snowman ⛄ Paul does it again! An adorable quick Halloween 🎃 read children will 💘 love! ! Beautiful illustrations as always. I can't wait to share this with my family.
Halloween with Snowman Paul is a delightful picture book for toddlers. It teaches courage and a little adventure, but not scary.
It’s Halloween and a boy takes on a bit of an adventure. Along the way, he notices a signpost. On it is a warning message, telling him not to go near a tree house. But, then the boy disregards the warning and proceeds to walk further. Then, comes another signpost that bears another warning, and once again he did not heed the warning message.
The boy eventually reaches the fourth and final signpost. Here, he is met by some creatures. Does the boy get scared? Find out for yourself and follow the brave boy’s little adventure.
Halloween with Snowman Paul: The Book and the Author
Halloween with Snowman Paul is a children’s fun picture book. Toddlers and pre-school kids will love its beautiful illustrations. The soft-toned pictures are cool and easy on children’s eyes. While the rhyming texts are pleasing to their ears. And, even as Joanna Pasek engages the kids visually, Yossi Lapid makes sure to inject a beautiful story in Halloween with Snowman Paul.
The rhyming picture book does not only entertain with a bedtime story. Rather, it teaches toddlers to be brave and to overcome their fear. The little adventures of the little boy tell the young listeners that it’s okay to try some new things and explore their surroundings. Halloween with Snowman Paul may sound scary but it is not.
I appreciate the author and the illustrator of this book for their wonderful creation. The rhyming lines are cute and pleasing to the ears. While the pastel-colored illustrations set the tone for babies’ bedtime.
Overall, I give Halloween with Snowman Paul a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to parents and guardians with children 2 – 5 years old. This book is worth your money.

Charming story in this series. Everyone gathers to celebrate Halloween. Creepy warnings are ignored and further fun takes place. Readers see who is wearing each costume so young readers won't be scared by the ghost, witch, etc. - even the dog joins the fun. Snowman Paul is inside, and the party begins when the last child arrives. Detailed illustrations support the story and add to the fun.
The perfect story to start off my October. Halloween with Snowman Paul contains an eclectic variety of spooky characters, including aliens, witches, dragons and ghosts, but it all works together toward the best Halloween party ever. I loved the simple style, clever rhymes and cozy illustrations, and I can't wait to share this one with my students.
Snowman Paul issues warnings but the reader does not heed them which is good as fun ensues.
I enjoyed this short read. I liked the rhyming. The illustrations are gorgeous. I look forward to reading more of Snowman Paul and his friends. This is perfect for Halloween for your 3-6 year old.
Of course Snowman Paul belongs in a Halloween book. Children will love discovering how benign all the “Don’t you dares” really are. And how could it be any other way with Snowman Paul part of this Halloween Adventure?
