I always find the books in this series difficult to rate.
I started out planning to give it 3 stars, and I stopped myself because I don't want to give the idea that it's not a good book. It is. I know very little about the character of Loki; the only MCU movie I've actually seen is Black Panther. Yet the described him well enough to give me a sense of character, which was augmented by the fact that the MCU is such a ubiquitous presence on the internet. And even if you've never seen anything about the MCU on the internet, I think you'd still be fine.
What I loved: There were some kernels of legitimately good advice in most of the sections. I can't call them chapters; they were too small to warrant that label. There was also some accessible humour. And the artwork/photos were fabulous.
What I didn't like: It was too short. That's my big complaint about the whole 'Be More...' series. All of these books mix humour/satire with decent self-help/leadership advice. And many of the ideas are worthy of more time & depth.
If you like the MCU, or you want a quick, fun read, this book is worth it. It's the kind of book I like to read before I dive into something heavier, which I'm going to do tomorrow. I just wouldn't buy it full price from a bookstore. I'd get it used, borrow it from the library.
An absolutely delightful little read of life advice with a twist of how Loki, specifically the MCU version of Loki uses said advice. Its fun, witty, and charming. And some pretty good advice really. We can't all be the God of Mischief, but we can all be the Lead on our own story.
It was fun, a lot briefer than I expected, but it had great pics and such (I got the ebook and not a physical book so I didn't see it first to get a guestimate on the size).
