Silly story, art not directly illustrative. To *me,* disappointing. But then, I found Parrish's actual art work disappointing, when I saw a collection of it on tour years ago. And the story, well, I suppose it's like a play, but I can't imagine who would actually perform it.

You may have an entirely different opinion, of course. But I bet this oversize hardcover is expensive and I hope you can try before you buy.

A sweet little retelling, in play format, of the story of the Knave of Hearts and why he stole the tarts. He really did a kindness!

The book itself is a 5. I love Maxfield Parrish. The story was not enjoyable to me at all.
