Truly a fascinating glimpse into queer history. Rankings may vary, but the importance of most featured in the list are almost certain. I enjoy the short biography style of the chapters (each focusing on a particular queer icon). My point was deducted given that it is one of date. Would love a contemporary version to update some problematic figures or include some missing people who were born/rose to importance after this edition was published.
An informative book on people who were gay or could have been.it doesn't break it down into something tawdry, instead it gives an insight into those who had the nerve to put their head above the parapet regardless of what people thought.some though had to be forced into this position through circumstances.
