Book I of the Runestone Saga ends with a terrifying reversal. The grandfather who showed Sky how to use the power of the runes to travel back in time, revealed his secret plans—which turn out to involve murder and possession. Sky must now find a way to fight his powerful teacher—for his cousin's very soul.
And so he travels to Corsica, home of his other forbearers, hoping to find some knowledge, some power. The blood feud of vendetta still runs hot in Sky's family, as does the supernatural power of the MazzeriÑthe Corsican dream hunters of death. Sky must again travel back through time, inhabiting the life of Tza, a fierce girl from the 1500s. As he sinks into Tza's mind, Sky wondersÑare all of his ancestors murderers?
Vendetta is a heady, exciting blend of supernatural possibility and historical truth that will leave readers gasping for the final installment of the trilogy.

Εδώ ο Σκάι ταξιδεύει στην Κορσική για να ανακαλύψει τις δυνάμεις του μανιακού Κορσικανού παππού του, ώστε να μπορέσει να αφαιρέσει τον Σκανδιναβό παππού του από το να κατέχει την ξαδέρφη του, Κριστίν. Marcaggi VS Farcese. Διαλέξτε μεριά... Βρίσκει επίσης έναν πρόγονο που ήταν μέλος των Mazzeri -των ονειροκυνηγών του θανάτου- που καθορίζουν ποιος θα τραυματιστεί ή θα πεθάνει άμεσα. Θα βελτιώσει τα ταλέντα του;
Book One reminded me of the "Percy Jackson" series by Rick Riordan. Young teen searching his ancestry to learn about his true identity. Book Two reminded me of the "Harry Potter" series by JK Rowling. Young man finds out there's more to him than meets the eye. Can't wait to read Book Three.
This cousin love thing is starting to go too far, I feel. The first time I read the first book and thought it was too much. The second time I thought maybe they're just really close and love like siblings. This time, the second book, no way. This is too weird.
., In this sequel to The Fetch, Sky has traveled to Corsica to discover the powers of his Corsican grandfather so he will be able to remove his Norse grandfather from possessing the fetch of his cousin, Kristin. In addition to his berserker ancestor Sky now discovers an ancestor who was a member of the Mazzeri – the dreamhunters of death – who hunt prey in their dream stats to determine who will be injured or die in the near future. Sky tries to refine these talents so he can challenge his grandfather, Sigurd.
Heavens above, I loved this book! Humpherys is dark without being horribly bloody and frightening and I just love Sky all the more in this book. Thank you, thank you for being a character that is freakishly awesome, but still admits you have much to learn. I love the different "magic" of this book--no wizards, no djinn, no demi-gods. Just a kid and a bunch of stones and Mazzeri. Loved it! Loved it!
After read the first book, i found myself bound to this saga, and continously read it. In my country, there's a myth that one brow eye can see something that shouldn't to see. And the author make everything clear,.including with other culture which I never heard, the vendetta from Corsica. Well I recommend this book and of course it's makes you wanna read the final book as soon as possible
ada beberapa penjelasan yg bikin alis berkerut dan bibir berkata "opo toh iki?". walau begitu plotnya cukup lumayan dr yg pertama, sayangnya nggak bisa kasih setengah bintang. karena pinginnya kasih 3.5 stars. but, sudahlah....
It was hauntingly dark; teen feelings in mysterious shadows of murdering and healing. Sky is so typical, you could hardly believe he is in such adventures. Yet he makes choices about sacrifices and death, the ultimate end to the Marcaggi-Farcese vendetta, and even time travels. It was delicious. xD
This book has a fascinating plot to it, though the story seems a bit linear and can be dull at some points. It is hard to compare this to the first book, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but this book is great in it's own right.
Ntah krn terjemahan atau gaya penulisannya, alur cerita tdk mengalir begitu lancar buatku...apalagi kalo sudah rada-rada lupa cerita di buku pertama. Tapi makin ke belakang makin seru ceritanya.
The second book in the Runestone Saga sends the protagonist to Corsica where he explores the other side of his family and the ways of running with the dead.
