Good info. Too much appendix

The book has a lot of good information on throughout it but you deathly need to have a thorough understanding of C coding to understand most of the card samples. you also have to have some knowledge of other Kernel internals that are not mentioned anywhere in the book. For instance, what is a spinlock? Knowing these things makes this book a wonderfully journey through the Linux networking internals. The reason I gave this book only 3 stars was because about 20% of the book is the appendix, so the page count is misleading.
