Key FeaturesLearn wireless penetration testing with Kali LinuxDetect hidden wireless networks and discover their namesExplore advanced Wi-Fi hacking techniques including rogue access point hosting and probe sniffingDevelop your encryption cracking skills and gain an insight into the methods used by attackers and the underlying technologies that facilitate these attacksBook DescriptionAs wireless networks become ubiquitous in our lives, wireless penetration testing has become a key skill in the repertoire of the professional penetration tester. This has been highlighted again recently with the discovery of the KRACK attack which enables attackers to potentially break into Wi-Fi networks encrypted with WPA2. The Kali Linux security distribution comes with a myriad of tools used for networking attacks and detecting security loopholes.

I bought this in the hopes I could use it as a course textbook to base a class around. This book misses its mark - a beginner (in my opinion) needs to know more than the book provides, but it seems in a few chapters the author is tired of writing and leaves some critical areas for the reader to dig up on their own. And the book also seems to have a *lot* of visual fluff - 3/4 page Wireshark and terminal screenshots. The book takes 180 pages, but without the fluff it would likely come in around 100.
Worked through this in an afternoon to brush up on some rusty skills and see if there was anything new to learn.
This was one of the weaker tutorials I've gone through. The instructions were often unclear and very poorly-formatted. There was also nothing new, for me. Maybe if you're a complete novice this is an ok starting point, but if you're that green it will be even harder to follow.
