This is so much more than the movie.
It gives the history of the position.
It takes you from the lowest paid position in NFL to the highest paid position.

This book is an average book. The storyline of Michael Oher is hard to believe! A life turning around that fast is awesome. Although there is a great storyline, there are many times where unnecessary facts and statistics about some historic players in the NFL are included. They can be distracting from the main plot of the story. The story of Michael Oher’s life might be difficult to believe, but it is truly amazing!

The outsiders is a book I heard about from my friends and they recommended it for me. The book was lived up to its potential and the movie was just as good as the book. I also liked the way the book kept me on my feet because it was a lot of action. The book was on how the poor vs the rich and the differences they had. The way they were so different but so much alike. They did I things they did not want to but did it because their friends did certain things. Pony boy the main character has two brothers name Darry and sodapop and they lived by themselves because their parents died. Darry works and soda works while pony boy goes to school. Pony boy and his best friend Johnny are the youngest ones of the gang. One night they were running away because Darry hit pony boy and they ran into some rich kids who were drunk. The drunk rich kids grab pony boy and Johnny and tried drown them. Johnny stabbed one of the rich kids and they went to the countryside. While they were there they went out for food and came back and the place was on fire where they were hiding out. Johnny and pony went to save some kids who were playing around in there and saved them but Johnny got caught in the fire and got hit by wood . Johnny died days later and ponyboy was never the same. This book was very good and very entertaining and you just can't stop reading once you start. It is very good emotionally also like the stuff they talk too I related very well too because I come a poor family and being around wealthy people who have a lot more than me.

For the book I read for my non-fiction book is The Blind Side by Michael Lewis. The Blind Side is a very great book if you’re interested in football. This book was very boring in the beginning because the entire first to second chapters the author only talked about were football plays. As I got further into the book it got more interesting and it started to talk about Michael Oher, Michael is of the thirteen children that his mother had and she lost them all because she was an alcoholic. Michael would be put in foster care but he would always find his way back to his mother and take care of her. Michael was sleeping on a couch at a man’s house and the man got him into a christen school for football. Michael is a very talented football player and even today for NFL football teams the Ravens. Michael got a lot of scouts looking at him for college ball, the scouts were outstandingly shocked on big Michael was for just being a high school football player. Through out the book it talks about Michael’s new family known as the Tuohy and how they took him in and adopted him. For this book id rate it as a five out of a 5, I rated this book five out of five because, I love football because I grew up around it and grew to love it. I would definitely recommend to read this book specially if your interested into football like me.

The book I read was The Blind Side by Michael Lewis. The characters are Collin,Michael Oher,Miss Sue,Burt Cotton, and Leigh Anne Tuohy. The setting is Michael Oher who was a homeless kid and was taken into a home by a family who taught him how to play football and they sent him to college and he became a offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens but plays for the Carolina Panther's as of right now. The conflict of the story is that Michael Oher comes from the projects, where he lives with his mom who has a substance abuse problem. He attempts to live on the street on his own but didn't work out and a family took him in and raised him. My favorite part is when he selects the college he wants to go to. The ending is when he gets drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL draft. My opinion on the book is ok but I prefer the movie more because it gives more description of what's happening.I don't know any connections to any other books but someone that would read this is someone that likes sports and inspiring events.

If you are a football fan, you will love this book. Even if you are not a fan, the story is amazing and entertaining. The football explanations sometimes were tedious and somewhat wandered, but I enjoyed it very much.

I really enjoyed this story, because it is very heartwarming and I think it give the reader hope of love, family, and a new beginning. You can relate in one way or another for everything that happens in the story.

One of Lewis's poorer efforts. Probably because one of the protagonists was a childhood friend.
