This is a book put together by the followers of Paramahansa Yogananda selected from his writings over the last hundred years. Yogananda teaches a form of directed religious meditation that can be highly effective. Our lives in the 21st century tend to be fearful, agitated, and uncertain; and Yogananda's methods are a valid way of developing the calmness and courage we need to face the pressures affecting our lives.

A book devoid of dogmatic concepts and unnecessary cliches. Just pure truths that you can put to use in your own life for its overall betterment is what you’ll find within these pages.

A definite must read.

This serves as a useful supplementary reading to the SRF's "Divine Romance", "Eternal Quest" and "Self-Realisation". Paramahansa Yogananda's vehemence that is found in all his works can be felt in this book, too.

It is a thin book, no doubt, but it contains very many valuable spiritual and material pabulums.

Being honest, I was expecting something more deep.

Not that it's not useful or good. It is but, but the text several times becomes somehow shallow and very simplistic. Sometimes even too much religious.

Anyway, this is a good and very easy to read book, aside of the very "self help book" title.

I'll check out his biography, before to have a more assertive opinion about the author.

This is a nice little book to have beside your bed to read before going to sleep.

What wonderful inspiration! Yogananda eloquently discourses his teachings and his experiences. His logic is essentially flawless. He speaks in language flavored with the culture of traditional religions. In this way he can relate to those of many faiths. When you delve beyond this verbiage, even the jaded pragmatist will find revelation and clarity.

Interesting read. Very spiritual... I'm afraid quite a bit over my level of spirituality.
