It's hard to understand how everything can change in a moment. From dancing in the arms of a mate I'm finally beginning to understand, to being shoved to the floor while he covers my body from bullets, I see so many outcomes flash in my head. I may be safe, but what about the rest of my mates?
Soul Eater is determined to steal the goddess-given magic Donny and I possess.
There all sorts of professionals hunting him down, but sometimes a woman scorned is the most powerful weapon there is.
All I want is to be with my mates and live my life. Will I ever achieve that?
Kelsey Soliz is a homeschooling mama of four and army wife, and when she's not drinking copious amounts of tea or playing bassoon, she is dreaming up all kinds of romance story scapes or reading them like a maniac.
Legit a great continuation and my only issues are editing and structure. If you like the other books, you’ll like this one too.
My only complaints - definite spoilers- are in Rory p 41 (in the ebook) there is a switch to Holden’s POV which is confusing because it is just in there as text and I had to figure out what was happening because it didn’t seem like Rory was having an out of body experience and then I saw the switch in the fine print. Then Bennett p 69 (again in the ebook) suddenly they’re fighting the Soul Eater. It feels like something is missing. You’re in Holden’s POV going to sleep and then the next page it’s Bennett’s POV and he comments on the distressed look Rory has and then Soul Eater is behind her. At first I thought it was a dream sequence and then it turned out it was actually happening and it didn’t make sense how we went from sleeping to a fight in a whole new location. It is the only issue I had with the book.
I appreciated the recap of the guys and the mating process from the other books. I’m glad to see that the bonds have been completed. I do want Rory to have a good life already and I’m eager for the final installment even though I’ll be sad to see it end.
I'll admit, I wasn't sure what to expect going into this second-to-last book in the Territory Walk series. Would Rory get even more mates at the very end like Gabby did? If the only enemy is the Soul Eater, what could happen to cause two more books?
Turns out a lot can happen and pretty much all of it was unexpected. I will mention that the abrupt chapter in the beginning where felt a bit out of the blue, like maybe some more set up for the scene since it changed fairly abruptly from the previous scene? After that initial confusion, I got what was going on so it wasn't a bit deal. Not to mention the abrupt nature of the event was later explained(?) by Donny.
It can be a little jarring the way the dialogue isn't surrounded by context so it's sometimes difficult to tell who is speaking. However, that's become something endearing about Kelsey's books--they don't need tons of description for you to feel the heart <3
Can anyone believe that 6 books in and these cliff hangers are still giving me panic attacks? Anyway I'm thrilled that for like 70% of this book I thought that Rory would be happily wrapped in baby bliss. End of. But no, instead we got probably the sweetest wedding ever with romance and ardent declarations and then boom! More crazy! My ranking of the mates changes with each book and this one is Holden, Bennett, Felix, Ari being my favourites. The soul stealer has been dealt with and now the pieces are being put back in place. I know that everything will work out but I'm not really prepared to wait for it. I love Kelsey Soliz' books and even with her frustrating cliff hangers the world building and story telling is elite.
This book should have been the finale. The ending had some things happen that seemed to have been tacked on for the author to have an extra chapter or 2. The things didn't make sense in terms of the overall story. In fact the big bad is dealt with in a really lackluster way. It was like the author just forgot about the big bad and didn't want to deal with it. It was dealt with in a couple of paragraphs, and those paragraphs referred to the big bad like a footnote.
Throughout the book there was a lot and I mean a lot of sappy emotional dialogues between the FMC and each man in the harem. The book really read like the end of a series. The ending had a random thing that just came up to have a reason for the next and supposedly last book. I don't know if I will bother with it.
Holy smokes this series. I love this harem I love Rory and I love the world.
This book was another amazing addition to the story and I absolutely love the magic that she’s dealing with and how she’s so protective of her harem.
Amazing that she’s been able to help those connectors that were harmed.
Oh man the angst of what’s going on with Christine and the whole end of the book! OMG. I’m excited to see what’s gonna happen in the last book of the series.
Kelsey's writing quickly became my favorite books. I can't believe it's almost over. I was hooked after reading Broken Wolf, then Hemlock Academy and Territory Walk cemented it. She keeps my emotions on a rollercoaster, I'm laughing, I'm crying.... beautiful love story with steamy scenes. I don't want seven to be the end.
First and foremost this is an amazing series . Rory has a naughty sense of humour and a heart of gold, her mates some you want to hug other just punch. love it can't wait for the final book One question What the he'll dose the author have against the poor innocent tomatoes lol
Another crazy instalment in this series but an absolutely wonderful read. I loved the story and I can’t wait to see what happens in the last book after that ending. The characters are great and I love the humour in this series. I would recommend giving this book a read.
Wow. Wow. Wow. I’m not even sure what to think at this point but this series is hilarious!! I love the creativity… (the dreams are top tier) I love Rory and her guys! One more book and I’m so sad to see this series end!
I absolutely love this series. Can’t wait for the next one. I wouldn’t care if it never ends. Love this universe and characters. Just read it already!!
And the hit keep on coming Rory has had to go through way more crap then gabby . Everything has been one thing after another and this book wasn’t any different.
Wow...so a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Told from all POV. Loving the new mates and what they bring to the table...can’t wait to find out who fathered Rory’s baby...you better be on that Kelsey, lol. Hoping for more dreamscapes. Just an awesome series that I can’t stop reading.
