The first portion of this book is about coding questions. I’ve never written code (aside from MySpace- throwback!), so it didn’t really pertain to me, and I didn’t understand all of the explanations, but I found each answer thoroughly explained and relevant.
If someone is in the business to grow within an IT career or is already in the IT career and looking to add people to their team, this book would be an excellent resource in pursuing the next step. The IT field moves at lightning speed, so it is vital to stay updated on any developments. This book would be an asset to doing that, regardless of the role you play.
I loved the second portion of this book! The interview questions were detailed, relevant, and the example answers were carefully thought out. I found the explanation on how to answer a question very helpful. The insight in this section of the book could very well be what sets someone apart and makes them stand out during the interview process.
Interviewing for anything can be nerve-wracking, so having tools to help prepare for that situation is always beneficial. The questions were general enough to apply to almost any position to gain insight regardless of your field of interest.
This section would also be helpful to anyone looking to grow their team. The questions are specific enough to provide insight into who a candidate is and how they think, but general enough that the door for further communication is open.
This is a tremendous resource. In a market where degrees don’t always equal positions, it’s important to have access to tools that will help you be successful. This resource is vital to personal and professional growth.

If you’ve followed me on instagram I’ve posted a pic of this book besides of my JAVA COMPLETE REFERENCE which is like encyclopedia of java ! but will you read the whole book and search for it turning pages in hurry if at any moment you need the definition o any particular topic or wanna know about any difference….
I used this book not only for prepration of job interview but also for the purpoe of learning theoretical points of core java !
The small size will not scare you to pick it up! and the easy answers won’t make you open dictionary again and again making it easy for you to learn basics! It really a great book for viva and also for learning the basics…
Now if you think that what’s the need of learning theoretical java when you know the programming but remember that in TI there will be theoretical questions asked to you and answering them properly will be really important!
No one is going to ask you to develop a heuristic search program in java, they’ll ask you about simple questions like interface, encapsulation, polymorphism, irregular array and all that…answering them with technical words and specific clear sentences is very important!
I myself found it very useful book to prepare and learn! It was easier than reading the complete reference…
I used this book not only for prepration of job interview but also for the purpoe of learning theoretical points of core java !

I’ve been a programmer for quite some time, but am a novice at Java. This book is one I would use to study as I continued along my Java learning journey to make sure I’m learning (and not just memorizing) key concepts when it comes to Java. I appreciate that this is not a book you have to read cover to cover, but one you can open to the piece you need and go from there. The scenario-based questions are also helpful because you can use these to build some exercises on your own as a means to study.

This book delivers. It is thorough and covers key components that will undoubtedly help anyone interviewing for a position. Answers were clear and thorough. I was impressed also by the general interview questions that gave excellent answers. It delivered more than I expected.
