A good starting point for those wanting to know more about how Catholics study scripture. Not as in depth as I personally would have liked but in a class setting where more can be introduced by an instructor it works. Would not recommend it if you are studying independently, some topics require further insight.

Great book about how to correctly understand scripture.
"Only when we become contextualist who have integrated Scripture into our personal prayer lives will these words from 2 Timothy be true for us:
... From childhood you have known the sacred writings that are able to instruct you for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. (3:16-17) - Margaret Nutting Ralph

The book is clearly written which makes it very easy to understand. I was surprised to learn some of the facts that surround the origin of the Bible. I also enjoyed learning the difference between being a 'Contextualist' as opposed to being a 'Fundamentalist.' This is a great read for those who want to get a better understanding of God's plan for us.
