My son bought this book and was very disappointed in it. Many of the "codes" he tried did not work. He spent his own money and was really upset to have wasted it.
Do you like to cheat your way through a game or are you taking too long constantly trying to finish it, then you would read this book to beat everyone and get ahead of them. The genre of the book is nonfiction. From what I think of the book, I think this book is always going to be useful to read and will help. This book seems to have spoiler alerts but it is meant to be revealed.
There is no setting in the book, the big parts of the book are the codes that go with big games like call of duty, madden NFL, FIFA games and other big games that alot of poeple would like to play. There are no events, but the main points of the book are the best games alot of poeple like, the console or handheld that the games is playable on, and what the game is rated and because of that there are some games that have a rating on it so if a little kid want to know a code to call of duty (which is rated M for mature) then the kid would know if they should look up the game to get it. The author's purpose is to inform you what are the latest, new uncovered codes players want to know.
I was surprised when I read some parts of some games that I had already unlocked some codes. I wish that I would have the the right console Ior handheld I would need to unlock a code.
