This is an eminently practical guide to teaching in medicine. It is aimed at practitioners who will have to teach in a clinical setting, and is relevant both for those in training and qualified health professionals. There are articles on theory but the emphasis is much more on how to do it.
This is one of the best book I've ever known in giving information about different effective methods in teaching and learning medicine .....Despite the fact that each method is brief ,it gives the fundamental structure of each method...so by reading this book(which gives you the whole idea) ,adding creativity and by using your own experience you can inhance the depth of your teaching, motivate your students to retain more.....
My favourite source for basic information in the field of medical education.
Starting with discussing the theory of adult learning and how it can be applied in teaching Medicine, then going through curriculum planning, teaching in large groups, teaching in small groups, teaching in clinical settings, assessment (written, skill based and work based) and till evaluation of Educational system and how we can use the input to promote the educational system, this book give a good base to build upon in each of the previously mentioned areas.
Very short and comprehend book about teaching and learning in clinical practice with helpful diagrams and examples, however it was kind of disappointment it was very superficial and often did not get to the point. Lost money.
