This is two method books in one, and every song is a duet! For every piece in the book, there is a soprano part and an alto part, and the pieces swap back and forth which instrument gets the main melody. For instance, if one piece has soprano main melody, alto will perform an accompaniment. But there will also be the main melody for alto so both instruments learn all the main melodies.

There are some good tunes to play in these books, and if you play both instruments you can record one part and play the other over it, or have someone else play the other part. My main recorder is tenor, which has the same tuning as soprano but an octave down. I also learned alto with this book. You can use these books for any recorder since all the common ones are either in C or F.
