There’s a serial killer on the loose around Florida State University, or at least that’s what everyone believes. Young women go missing for several days and then are found dead a few miles from where they were abducted. The local police and an FBI task force are working to find the culprit but with no success. Meanwhile, all the women around Tallahassee are afraid they may be next.
When Amber Johnston, Rachel’s daughter’s roommate and best friend, is discovered missing on the first day of spring break, Rachel becomes involved. Unfortunately, her boyfriend, FBI Agent Avery Turley, is in Idaho as part of a task force searching for a different serial killer. So, Rachel turns to Lieutenant Jack Meyers of the Panama Beach City Police Department for help. Together they search for Amber, leading them on the trail for the culprit killing all the pretty girls.

Deanna is one of my favorite must-read authors. I was so excited when I found out she was writing a mystery series. I've loved each story in the series and they just keep getting better and better. I have really come to care about Rachel and her family, friends, and co-workers. And each mystery that she has to solve is intense and keeps me on the edge of my seat.
All the Pretty Girls hits on a very relevant scenario that is happening way too much now in our current times—coeds being abducted from college campuses. Rachel's daughter becomes personally involved when her roommate, and best friend, comes up missing. Well, you know that Rachel is going to kick it into high gear to get the mystery solved to stop the abduction of innocent women.
The story hits the intense phase when time is running out and Rachel wonders if she will be able to figure out who is nabbing these women before another one ends up missing or dead. She is also wondering who she can trust and who she can't. Who is lying to her? The ending will have you holding your breath as the villain is revealed and dealt with, but at what cost?
I love the whole series and All the Pretty Girls is a perfect addition to this set of stories. I highly recommend it, as well as all of the other books. As always, I look forward to the next installment of the Rachel Emery series.
This is a fast-paced kidnapping and murder mystery. Rachel's daughter Jules is devastated when her roommate Amber disappears. There have been a string of college girls being kidnapped and then showing up a few days later murdered. Rachel's boyfriend Avery works for the FBI but has to go out of state for another murder case. Jack, a cop from the prior book, comes to help. This is more than a serial killer, and Jack and Rachel are not sure who they can trust. Great series!
Interesting and yet a very predictive plot. The live triangle aspect was unnecessarily being pushed with no addition to the plot or characters progression. The ending was unfortunately very predictable and almost scooby-doo like ‘if not for them I would have gotten away with it’ ending. I was not very impressed with this book compared to the previous two; disappointing as I was looking forward to it.
Like the first two, there are plenty of twists to keep you guessing. The characters are relatable and the plot very believable. Hope there will be another one! I'm not finished with Rachel and Avery yet.
