I'm a fast reader but have bad recall, so I picked this book up hoping that it would help me retain information better and hopefully read even faster. So far I'm actually quite liking it. It makes sense and the couple of tests I've done have confirmed what I already know, which I always think bodes well for the future (I'm good at visual/kinaesthetic learning but scored very low - an 8, where below 7 means your brain may actually be avoiding learning by that route - on analogue audio. I've known for years that lectures are my worst method of taking in information and I have difficulty with audiobooks because my mind wanders too much.)

The main idea seems to be learning to read a group of words at once instead of individually, as a way to speed up, and also to simply comprehend rather than having a little voice in your head read the words out one-by-one followed by comprehension.

I'm hoping I can make it work.

- Have hit a snag, I really don't like running my finger along as I read, it's awkward. This seems to be set up for people who read at their desks.
