Origami Für Erwachsene

Rate this book
This book reaches the parts that other origami books don't, plumbing previously uncharted depths, uniting the yin and yang bedfellows of an ancient Japanese artform and 21st century toilet humour. Readers who hitherto have only been able to make a humble paper aeroplane, will soon be able to impress their mates down the pub with a jaw-dropping ability to take a scrap of chaste, virgin paper and fashion something that is both artistic and crude. Working through a total of 16 projects, the cultural importance of each subject and the inspiration behind it is discussed, while the origami side of things is explained in simple, step-by-step Anglo-Saxon, with evocative line drawings. Adult Origami will soon have readers making giant sperm, novelty paper boobies or a fully moving "schwanstucker", impressing friends and shocking polite family members everywhere.

I am a professional origami artist and author and I've been folding paper for over 30 years. I never cease to be amazed by the geometric possibilities and sheer beauty that lies dormant within a sheet of paper, waiting for the careful hand of the folder to awaken it.

Over the years, origami has brought me many friends, has inspired, amused and intrigued me, as well as being a source of income. It's a lucky man who gets to work at a subject he loves.

I have been a member of the British Origami Society for over 25 years and edited their magazine as well as maintaining their website since 1996. I have written 35 books about origami, supplied photographs for articles on paper-folding and have fulfilled numerous commercial and charitable origami commissions involving origami and paper art over the last 20 years, both within the UK and abroad.

unlock your potential!I have created several hundred original designs. I regularly teach origami in schools, arts centres and many other venues & have a clean enhanced CRB check.

Let me unlock the potential of origami for your creative campaigns!

If you aren't very popular and have to go out to bars on your own a lot, take this book with you, sit at the bar and start folding (practice first). People will buy you drinks just to see you fold the "little man in a boat" not to mention the towering willie and the pigs doing it doggy-style.

I used to have a bar and the same set of guys came early almost every night and sat in the same places and ordered the same drinks and talked about their boring jobs. Then I bought a couple of origami books and a block of squared paper. The other books got ignored but this one was a great hit and on the strength of this alone, Nigel got laid by the barmaid.

How do I know this? After the barmaid left and went to Australia, she phoned me saying she had a job in an internet cafe but didn't know how to do anything could I help? Day after day she would phone and we gossiped about the people we knew and as a consequence I asked her, "Did you sleep with Nigel?"
She replied, "Which Nigel?"
I said, "How many were there?"
"Three," she said, "I slept with them all."
"But Nigel with the red hair was so boring,"
"Yeah, but he could fold a mean willie!"

There you go. They never give you that advice in a book on how to seduce women.
