I absolutely LOVED this book!! I could relate to much of the information presented in it but it also provided me with a boatload of new concepts and tools that are highly practical and easy to implement. Concepts are clearly explained and there is a Review and Home Play (nicer word than homework) at the end of each chapter with a list of questions meant to help the reader shift their perspective on how they view themselves, others and the world. This book is an excellent addition to any client's or therapist's bookshelf.

What If You're Not as F*ed Up as You Think You Are is a refreshing and empowering read. Adriana Popescu, PhD, has a gift for making complex psychological concepts accessible, using clear and relatable language that resonates with the average reader.

Part 1 lays the groundwork beautifully, offering insightful examples of how we develop negative self-perceptions and limiting beliefs. It provides a strong foundation for understanding why we think the way we do. But for me, Part 2 is where this book truly shines—packed with practical, easy-to-apply strategies that help shift those negative perspectives and cultivate genuine self-worth. The techniques are straightforward yet powerful, making personal transformation feel not only possible but achievable.

One of the things I appreciate most is Adriana’s writing style—there’s no arrogance or over-promising, just authentic, well-grounded guidance. Having read the book once, I find myself going back to revisit different strategies that I want to incorporate into my own life. And having met Adriana personally, I can say with confidence that she is the real deal—someone worth listening to.

If you're looking for a book that challenges limiting beliefs and helps you step into a more empowered version of yourself, this is it. Highly recommended!
