On the run with only one objective – to stay alive! A fast-paced, high-octane romantic suspense by Amazon bestselling author, Louise Rose-Innes. Rose Wilde lost her husband on their honeymoon in the Tunisian terror attack five years ago and has never fully recovered. Filled with rage, she joined the British army – more specifically, the special forces reconnaissance regiment – where she became an expert at hiding her emotions and pretending to be someone else. Now part of the SAS Rogue Unit, she’s been assigned to protect a cryptocurrency developer who is being targeted by a ruthless arms dealer. Except she has to do it as his wife. Damian Clayton was married two days before his wife ran off and left him. But he's not your typical computer geek. He's got a shady past and his cryptocurrency has enabled criminals to thrive on the dark web. Now he's making a change. A new upgrade that will peel back the layers of secrecy and expose the user's real identities – if he can live to implement it. Having sworn off women, Dorian is horrified to learn that his protection detail will be posing as his new wife. And he’s even more horrified by how helplessly he’s attracted to her. Grab your copy of WILD ROGUE now! What readers had to Action-packed and steamy! Louise keeps you devouring page after page until the end. I can't wait to read more by this author. A wonderfully written, suspenseful, yet empathetic series. A fast-paced series that had me glued to the pages. WILD ROGUE is the fourth book in the gripping SAS Rogue Unit series but can be read as a standalone. It is one rollercoaster of a ride as Rose and Damian try (unsuccessfully) to keep their longing at bay while dodging bullets and staying alive.
Starts interesting and immediately fades to boring of just normal day-to-day shit. The fake wife plot just becomes overwhelmingly dull and dry as they just sit around getting to know tidbits about each other.
Too much talk of his ex wife and employee ex girlfriend.
Too much talk about her dead ex husband.
Too much talk about food, dishwasher, showers, and mundane shit.
Most of the 50% I read is discussing THEIR separate pasts.
I stopped reading because I’m not a fan of second loves. Exes are fine if it’s not a winding road through THAT love story to get to why THIS romance matters. That was the author’s route, and it’s just not my jam:( At 50%, there is absolutely NO chemistry between the MCs, no spark of interest other than admiring each other’s bodies, and a fake kiss they both ignored.
I hate the backtrack through love and work shit because this book actually has a female ex military doing the action role, but the potential romance of whatever is to come later between the MCs isn’t worth it due to the taint of the exes and boring everyday stuff:( Plus, after the opening action, the FMC is just twiddling her thumbs.
DNF at 50% as the MCs are arguing over why he can’t go for a run with her after she locked him in a hotel room. He sounds like a petulant child and she sounds like a mother hen of it’s for your own good. This isn’t sexy times. It’s boring and lame.
Rose is a private operator for The SAS Rogue Unit, her new assignment is to protect the owner of a technology company but she has a gut feeling that something wasn't right. Dorian is a soft ware developer and when his life is threatened Rose is assigned to protect him. Rose and Dorian have instant chemistry and connection but Rose has been through and lost so much and has closed herself off and will not do anything to jeopardise Dorian's protection and life. Omg I love this book so much, it is a real page turner that puts you on the edge of your seat to see what will happen next, and it is totally addictive. Louise is an incredible author and amazing writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an ARC Copy Of This Book.
This is the fourth book in the SAS Rogue Unit . This book is definitely a page turner. Overflowing with danger, suspense and drama. Fast paced and full of action this book will grab your attention right at the beginning and keep you guessing. Rose and Damien will take you on a wild ride as she poses as his wife while being his protector. Their attraction is strong. A good book that is intense. I read as an arc and voluntarily chose to review.
Another great addition to this series. There is a lot of action, suspense and intrigue. Rose joined the team when her new husband was killed by terrorists while on their honeymoon 8 years ago. Dorian is trying to turn his life around with new software that could change everything for the good guys. It's a way to stop people on the dark web from doing a lot of illegal activites. His ex father in law is one of the bad guys and has hired hit men to prevent him from succeding. There is a lot of heat as well. HEA
Women can do it as well as men and look better at the same time
Wild Rogue is the fourth book in the SAS Rogue Unit series is an excellent book by Louise Rose-Innes. Rose Wilde is one kick-ass heroine.........take no prisoners, take you down and looking for revenge. She has been trained to do major damage and is willing to do it as a new member of the SAS Rogue Unit. Damian Clayton is the CEO of a cryptocurrency company that is used by a lot of the black market and darknet, you know the people you don't want to meet alone on a dark street at night. He now has a target on his back and a price on his head as he has released code which can trace the payments through his program. He did this as a way to make right what had gone wrong and to turn his life around. But the result is that several terrorist organizations activities were exposed. Rose is assigned to protect him and she poses as his wife for her cover. They have a connection that goes beyond the official protection operation. They end up having to flee which brings them even closer together as they learn to rely and trust each other, as they have to work together to make sure they stay alive. However, the danger is circling closer to them and one of those ends up being Damian's ex-father-in-law who has hired an assassin to take him out.
Rose's story is heartbreaking at the beginning but she survives and grows stronger than before. Damian is trying to make things right again and atone for what he became a part of. This book is filled with action, adventure, mystery, intrigue and then blended with romance, discovery and a lot of very hot chemistry between Rose and Damian. This is another very enjoyable book that I recommend.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
What a roller coaster of a ride I didn’t want to get off of, from the first pages where Rose gets to Damian through all his security measures to the intense attraction between them and then the ending. Rose is a fighter and a very skilled operative, she secures the contract to guard Damian, a man who needs protecting from a lot of bad guys who don’t want him to release a program that will expose terrorists, illegal transactions, mob bosses and anyone else on the dark web. Rose lost a lot, a few years back and Damian learned the hard way not to trust, the two have issues from their pasts and as Rose guards Damian and shows him a side of herself, no one has seen....can they heal each other. Holy he** what a read I couldn’t put down, flipping the pages till then end and wanting more of these two. The steam and attraction....whooo weee....the suspense...edge of your seat....the very capable and deadly Rose....in awe...Damian whose more than a computer geek with layers upon layers to the man he really is. The story flowed beautifully, the descriptions were spot on, the emotions heartache and heartbreak had me misty eyed, the suspense had me on edge and the characters....WOW WOW...all of it...WOW. This whole series just keeps getting better and better which I didn’t think was possible....can’t wait for the next one !! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is the 4th book in the SAS Rogue Unit series. The other books have had a male as the Operative, but this book has a female op, which makes for a nice change.
Rose is the SAS Rogue Operative tasked with protecting Damian, a software developer who is responsible for developing an untraceable cryptocurrency. He plans to make some dramatic changes that will help make the transactions more transparent. The changes will be implemented during the Blockchain Summit in Barcelona. Rose is to protect Damian for the next 7 days while she poses as his wife.
Needless to say, when an attractive single woman and a handsome single man are thrown together in dangerous situations for that period of time, well, let’s just say things can have a tendency to heat up. As with all the books in this series, there’s plenty of action and plenty of heat. Don’t miss this exciting addition to the series. My rating: 5 stars!
Complex story, flawlessly crafted as we've come to expect from this incredible author... Such a compelling page turner that will have you on the edge of the seat due to the very real danger threatening their lives whilst an intense admiration & lust was building between the hero & the beautiful heroine from the Rogue Unit assigned to keep him alive. I was in awe of her, strong, yet vulnerable whilst the hero wanted to get rid of the evil villains that used his currency for illegal purposes. He was also aware that the bad guys wanted him dead but he wanted her for so much more than his bodyguard.
A fast paced, page turner. I love how the author has introduced a new female agent into the rogue mix. The sparks ignite when Rose gets assigned to be the personal body guard for cryptocurrency genius, Damian Clayton. Trying to keep Mr. Clayton safe so he can announce a big upgrade to his current product is no easy task. Keeping Mr. Clayton in such close proximity is stirring up the heat between the two. Can Rose keep her feelings from flaming in order to keep Damian safe? Or, will the sparks ignite and blow the entire assignment?

Rose is a private operator for the SAS Rogue Unit, and her assignment is to protect Damian a soft ware developer. Damian is in danger from a technology company. The two of them find they have instant chemistry. Rose dose not want to act on this as it will jeopardise her job in protecting Damian Damian has to break down the walls Rose has built around herself . A great fast paced plot, villains, strong characters . WOW
Loved Rose & Damian's story. Cool and badass but hot as hell, will not so nerdy, Damian be able to get through the walls she has built once she see's his, not so bad boy, persona and hot body. Great British adventure. I will certainly be visiting another novel from this series.
Wow! I loved Rose & Damian's story. Rose's struggle to get past the death of her husband and to move forward with her life was poignant and had tears in my eyes more than once. Another very good read from Ms. Rose-Innes. Keep them coming!
I enjoyed the story. The plot was well built and I SO appreciate that the graphic sex scenes were left out. It made the book read much more freely. Thank you
I'm always a fan of stories with tough women, and love that this series had an awesome former Special Forces woman on their team. Rose and Damien's story was a great addition to the SAS Rogue series.
What can I say,I'm glad there are still some of us warrior women out there protecting & serving We don't get recognised often, but well done girl this book is as is all your book,s are awesome 👌
