Kay and Mickey Lynch gave birth to two daughters - US. Patricia Noel was born in their native city, Bronx, New York, but only resided there while in the hospital nursery. The little family moved to a two family house in New Jersey - Kay and Mickey's "house in the country". Three and a half years later Kathleen Ann was born and the Lynch family was complete.

Our parents' names might sound familiar to you. That's because we made a promise to each other to name characters in each of our books after our mom and dad - whether they just have cameos or they get to have some fun as secondary characters. This way they live on in our pages as well as our hearts.

Daddy was a doorman for the exclusive Fifth Avenue designer, Hattie Carnegie, until her death and the close of her shop. A natural born storyteller, he would regale us with stories of the famous people he helped into and out of the shop every day: the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Jackie "O" (before she was a Kennedy or an Onassis) and Lucille Ball. We extended an invitation to Lucy and Desi to come for dinner and watch "I Love Lucy" with us and we could never understand why that never happened.

Mickey started his own paint contracting business in town and Mike The Painter was much beloved by his clients. In his spare time he wrote children's books that delighted us. He died when we were teenagers and Kay never remarried. After she died, we self-published three of our favorite stories available through online retailers in eBook format (author, Michael Lynch)

We were young when Daddy died and Mom was nearly destroyed with grief. It fostered an "us against the world" mentality that lives on today in our special bond with each other. We relish "sister time"..

Kathie married Tom and gave birth to two sons Tom and Michael. Kathie is the proud "Nana" of five grandchildren. In addition to heading a small human resources services company, Kathie is a naturalist and volunteer in sea turtle and seal rescue in Outer Banks, North Carolina.

Pat married and had two daughters, Jen and Emilie. She divorced ten years later. Then she married Nick Casiello. Aside from gaining a perfect husband (in her opinion) she also gained a son, Brian. She is the founder and President of three relocation benefits management corporations. Pat and Nick co-run the small businesses and live in the western suburbs of Chicago.

At the 2005 RWA (Romance Writers of America) National Conference, K.M. Daughters was born when we plotted our first novel together.

Our second project, AGAINST DOCTOR'S ORDERS, began our Sullivan Boys romantic suspense series published by The Wild Rose Press. Four novels followed, available in audio formats in addition to print and digital.

Our inspirational romances are published by White Rose Publishing.

Fill The Stadium, our first mainstream fiction novel, is the recipient of the BOOKSELLER'S BEST AWARD. Our contemporary romance, REUNION FOR THE FIRST TIME, won the INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL AWARD.

BEWITCHING BREEZE, the 1st in the Sisters Of The Legend Fantasy Romance Trilogy releases November 5, 2018.

Coming soon from Prism Publishing, ROSE IN THE DESERT, a Christian Fiction novel with miraculous and supernatural elements.

A vicious attack on Bobbie Leighton's life destroyed her relationship with Joe Sullvian and left Joe permanently impaired. Now an FBI agent working in New York, Bobbie returns to Chicago to discuss the possibility that a baby trafficking case she is working on may have a connection to Joe's brother's murder.

Joe is determined to find out why Jimmy died and to bring his killer to justice. Joe and Bobbie go undercover as a rich cattle rancher and his arm candy wife looking to adopt a baby from a slick Park Avenue lawyer. Forced to live with one another day by day, Joe and Bobbie struggle to resist their feelings for one another. Can they overcome their past? And can they bring a murderer to justice before they become the next target on a killer's victims list?

Romantic suspense just doesn't get any better than this! I had not read the first installment of The Sullivan Boys series by K.M. Daughters, but as soon as I finished Beyond the Code of Conduct, I begged the authors to send me that book.

Beyond the Code of Conduct opens with Bobbie showing up at Jimmy Sullivan's funeral and getting an icy reception from Joe. The authors immediately draw you right into the conflict and it doesn't stop until the very end. These characters are pushed beyond their limits every step of the way. You feel that pull between Joe and Bobbie, that fine line they walk between just working together and resisting the temptation to be together in a more meaningful way. You witness how much of an obstacle their past remains. And you want them to nab the bad guy as much as they do.

I've now read the last chapter three times and each time it gets better, is more touching and even more satisfying than the first.

While the strength of this book is definitely its complex characters, the gripping story keeps you turning page after page. I couldn't put the book down. I read it cover to cover in one night. At 180 pages, it's the perfect book to take on vacation or to read on a long car ride.

Beyond the Code of Conduct is romantic, it's filled with suspense, and it's one book that I would love to read again.

This is the first story by K. M. Daughters I have read. The story is good, has a steady pace & a few twists and turns along the way. There is a prelog that ended up confusing the story rather than helping. The reasoning behind why the villain did what he/she did is very convoluted. You'll have to read it to find out who. Over a good story.

Ted Brooks is okay as the narrator he gets most of the inflections and has the voices down. His steady pacing is a bit off putting (for example: no quickening during tense times), that may also be the reason the story itself seemed to plod along at times.
