I obtained this book in the 1980's about the same time that I bought my first canoe. Coupled with Ohio DNR river and stream publications, it was my go-to source for finding put-in and take-out points as well as gaining an understanding of the river start to finish, e.g., dams, etc. I'll add that the public internet and of course google-maps did not exist at that time.
