Things did not end so well for Ocean. He thought his evening would end with him relaxing with his daughter, Sailor, and Six. He was ready to tell her that he loved her. However, things went from hopeful to disaster when Todd and Rebecca showed up with the police and a warrant.
Sadly Six’s day is turned upside down too. Not only was her career literally up in flames, but she ended up behind bars. As if that wasn’t enough, things get much worse when a shocking secret about Ocean is revealed to her. Question is, should she trust where it came from?
Winnie is changing for the better. Her timid and soft-spoken ways are a thing of the past. All she wants to do now is continue on the path that she’s walking on. But as soon as she does, her toxic family and ex-boyfriend Cam, throw spikes in her way. Will Winnie learn how to get them out her life for good or will River have to step in?
Wave and Doryan have at last became solid. He’s dropped his defenses and let love seep into his life. Doryan has dropped her defenses and returned Wave’s love with her own. As good as things are, they are far from perfect. Doryan’s ex-boyfriend, Bernard, isn’t ready to let her go.
Along with their personal lives in a whirlwind, the Hill brothers have professional troubles in their careers as well. River and Wave each have a match that will change their lives in an unpredictable way. Mob leader Masio and Marco along with the city king pin Dino all want a piece of the Hill legacy.
Come along for the final round of this three part series and find out if the brothers will K.O. all the battles being thrown their way.
Ultimately pleased with how each brother and their girl’s relationship evolved. All the crucial elements of high functioning families versus dysfunctional was keenly depicted. Some scenes were emotionally hard but added potency to the love established within each couple.
I also loved how Londyn especially made each brother have their own level of rebuttal that damned any possible comeback from their intended strike. It made me enjoy the series even more that at any moment, someone could get the business no respecter of persons.
Overall another great series, my only regret is there were a few grammatical and spelling mistakes that could’ve been prevented in the editing phase.
The growth in Winnie was good to see, it was not overwhelming but she stuck to her decision. Dorian was ok in the book nothing interesting.. Six six was exhausting to me. I know she would believe Myra's parents because her situation. I did not feel bad for at all.🥱
I am glad Big Daddy Creek (after the visual that was posted in Londyn's fb group) told Wave why he treated him that way but that was no excuse..
Winnie's mom is probably the worst mother's character I have about.
It had a lot of errors to which I was surprised. Over all a decent book.
I struggled back and forth with myself about reviewing this book because at first I wasn't. Reason being is because I love this Author. Her uniqueness and ability to pen jaw dropping storylines is unbelievable. However I was disappointed with this last book in this series. The grammatical errors all throughout this book took away from what I knew should've and could've been an automatic five star read. The storyline itself is dope as hell. Destiny was delusional. She had it in her head that everybody was jealous of her when she was the one who was jealous. It seems that jealousy festered to the point she wanted everything Winnie had and loved to see Winnie hurt even using Winnie little sister Lola. Destiny was too self absorbed to realize that life is like a boomerang. Whatever you throw out there is guaranteed to come back. Rus should've accepted that he messed up his relationship with Charmaine and that Destiny could've possibly been pregnant with his child. Instead he did the unthinkable and ruined his life. Cam should've accepted his loss as well. Winnie didn't want him anymore. She moved on with River. I don't know what made Cam think he had another chance after he got caught with Destiny and was screwing Winnie little sister. I was so glad and applauding Winnie for finding her voice. The way her mother and little sister's did her over the year's was disturbing and disgusting. Winnie tried to tell Lola about Cam but Lola had to learn the hard way. Her excuse for treating Winnie like trash was weak. There was no excuse. River definitely had Winnie back and helped her come out of her shell. I had to laugh at what Wave did to Winnie mother because she deserved it. Doryan had Wave wrapped around her finger. She was good for him and was one of the only people that could calm his mean ass down. Bernard messed up coming after Doryan and Wave shut him all the way down. I understand Wave anger. The way Creek treated him versus how he treated his brother's River and Ocean was wrong. Creek apology to Wave at least melted some of that coldness around his heart. Ocean was going through hell when his daughter's racist grandparents took her and learning how they've gotten to Six. I was surprised Six believe them but her past with Turk and the abuse she suffered because of him made it easy for her to believe the lies told about Ocean.
I am so in love with this series. I truly love how the brothers was coming behind each other and their ladies. I am so glad Winnie started speaking up for herself. Who needs enemies when you have family like that. Six was getting on my nerves with keeping that secret. If she would have opened her open Turk and Sage would have been gone. Wave and Doryan was everything and more. I truly love how Wave was with Doryan. Doryan brought the best out of Wave. Benard was a coward and got what he deserved. My heart was breaking for Ocean. Those people was something else. River was everything. The way he was behind Winnie was everything to me. These couples brought out the best in each other. I am glad Wave was able to find out why his dad treated him like he did. He definitely deserved that and more. Londyn Lenz you did a great job with this series. Can't wait to see what you have coming next.
Creek can still get the h@££ on he treated Wave like ish. Wave was my favorite because he was so blunt and didn't have no filter. I didn't like him in the first book. River is the sensitive one, but for anybody who messes with his Princess aka Winnie. I was happy when Winnie stood up for herself against her sisters and Destiny. Her mammy is fat, disgusting, lonely and miserable. River beat the breaks off of Cam. Ocean is the neutral one, he didn't get upset until you pushed him. Namely about his daughter and Six waited to long to tell Ocean about Turk. Destiny shouldn't been baiting Rus and she shouldn't have went to Charmaine job. Lola is young and dumb, she looked up to Destiny and look where that got her. Doryan curved Wave so bad. She had to show him that wasn't second to anyone. The Hill brothers knew that they were going to marry Winnie, Six, and Doryan and they gave them all girls.
Now, this review is based on the series as a whole. First, the storyline between all books was a solid four stars. I love to see the chemistry between the main characters and their love interest. Winnie glow up was beautiful to see. Destiny's death was horrible, but that is what happens when you are an evil person. Now, with that being said, the editing in this series was terrible. The mistakes were glaring, and the mix-up of characters' names should have never happened. I would say this particular author's editor needs to be removed, or if they edit themselves, it is time to find an editor. I genuinely think I do a disservice by giving a rating of four stars when the series should have been two or three stars because of editing, but the story is solid, and I like this author. I hope they will do better with the editing in the future. P.S. I think I will start giving reviews and ratings based on editing as well.
This series took me on so many ups and downs( IN A GOOD WAY)! I don’t even know where to start! So many underlying lessons within the relationships/ dynamics. With Winnie, I grew so frustrated with her character in the first 2 books, but to see her character grow and finally stand up for herself was refreshing. Even in death her Mom was never a “mother” to her and for no reasons associated with Winnie directly. Toxic Motherhood is definitely a thing and Ms. Winnie gave us a front row seat to someone’s real life reality. There are so many Waves, Doryans, and Sixes out here, and I feel like the Author encompassed all of those realities. Everyone doesn’t get to close the book at the end of the night. & as far as the grammar — it didn’t take away from the plot or message for me. But , I also don’t read for grammar, I read for the plot but just me🤷🏽♀️
Wave is bae 🥰🥰😍 all day long! He came such a long way and I just love the dynamics between him and D.
Ocean went thru it with those trifling folks and nearly lost himself! Couldn’t get with Six with her continued secrets though that nearly cost her to be taken from this world! No embarrassment will let Turk get away. She just came across so weak and mentally Turk was still in her head!
Stand up Winnie finally! Winnie mom was OMG 😱 just hateful. That woman had so much hate for and I figured out why before she revealed this info. The sisters just as hateful as their mom SMH and it’s sad how so called love got folks out of pocket that their lives destroyed.
River was just a knight in shining armor FRFR for Winnie, which gave her the confidence to get a backbone!
The epilogue was awesome, but there were so many grammatical errors though!
I loved how everything came full circle! Winnie truly found her voice and became the best woman and person she could be in spite of her mother and sisters, who by the way were just evil! Now Cam and Rus they couldn't compete with the Hills brothers in life or in the ring! Karma came for them in the worst way! Doryan, Winnie and Six were truly besties and Wave, Ocean and River were their brothers keepers at all cost! The family dynamics plays such an important part in the story, you get to see how each of the friends and brothers become who they are. There's laughter, tears, anger, jealousy and finally love and finding self!
When she was sentenced, she was only seventeen, so she went to a youth prison until her eighteenth birthday. Then she was transferred to a women’s prison, where she would spend the next fifty years of her life. Her trial focused on manipulation because Cam was grown, but his lawyer fought that she knew what she was doing when she killed him. The possibility of parole for Lola was in thirty years. Winnie didn’t keep up or even care about Lola’s trial, but I did. I needed to know what was up. If she got out, would she come for Winnie? Would she try to fuck with her? I would put Lola in the ground with Cam if she tried.
This series annoyed me. She’s plus size but you can tell she projects her own insecurities and negative thoughts onto her characters. I thought Doryans character could be so much but she literally made being big her entire personality and the fact that a man could look past his shallow judgement the entire premise of their relationship. Not to mention the entire absurdity of the storyline and the misspellings. Wanted to like it… it had potential. Then it just ended in drawn out disappointment uggghhh
She killed this finale. The whole series if we’re being totally honest here. She owes me nothing. It gave me everything it needed to give plus more. I especially loved the growth and maturity of the characters throughout the series. It was like watching a movie for me. I hated to get to the end. I can’t wait for her next series. I know it will be even better. She never disappoints. Sensational
This series was very well thought out and written, storyline was incredible and kept me engaged throughout. I really appreciate the proofreading and that errors were kept at a minimum. Character names were misplaced a few times, but nothing too crazy. Great job on creating characters with such strong and different personalities, you did your big one with this series!
Winnie with River by her side faced her fears and became stronger. She faced her mother and her sisters and never looked back! They received their just due in the end! Six faced her abusive ex , ocean and her family learner the truth. Turk faced his karma in the end. Doryan and Wave loved on each other and got c!oser. The future for everyone was bright as they all fulfilled their dfeams. A great read!
Yes Londyn Lenz you came through with this series.. I loved the dynamics of Winnie, Doryan, Six, River, Wave and Oceans relationships they all rode hard for each. I truly hated to see this series end but I am looking forward to whatever you drop next!!
This series was sooooooo good! Winnie made me so proud, River brought out the brown woman that lived in her. Wave and Doryan might be my fav couple. I was so happy how things ended with Ocean and Six. The brothers gave me the outlaws bond and I love it. Was great to see Creek have his eyes open now. Thank you for your hard work!
Good series dragged out but was okay. Some things were foreseeable and others weren't. Definitely could've been a 5⭐ read but the errors in all the books were horrible. It's like the editor needs and editor. Keep up the great storytelling and best of luck on future endeavors.
When I started reading book one I wasn’t sold, but I am so glad I kept going. You root for the Hills and their ladies almost from the start. This was probably the best series I’ve read all year. Editing needed to be tightened up, especially in the last book, but overall it’s a great series.
These books were fantastic and I laughed and cried! I liked how after the brothers found love they never slipped up with other women also I enjoyed seeing real love shine through them all! My only criticism is the editing, there were a lot of misspellings but besides that great read!
I can't put into words how I feel about getting the ending to these characters. It's... therapeutic and yet unsatisfying. Like I don't want to let them go but I'm happy about certain things and also deeply saddened by others. But life can be like that. Great series. Great read. The characters felt so real like I could Google them lol. Love this!
I really enjoyed this series. The Hill brothers were a force to be reckoned with… River met Winnie at the lowest point in her life and without reservations he was there for her and never left. I will not divulge details it’ll spoil it just know this is a great series and you need to download and read. Happy reading
I loved this series it was everything from the beginning to the end. I loved how those Hill brothers loved on Winnie, Six and Doryan. They didn’t play about them either at all.
It was a perfect ending for this series. Its Winnie's growth and strength for me. I really love how she learned to stand up for herself. It was a great series and I hate to let these characters go.
I so loved the Hill brothers and the way they loved the women in their lives. The friendship between Winnie, Six and Doryan was great a girl can only wish for friends like that!! Kudos to the author
I love these series, especially since I’m from Detroit. I’m so glad everyone got what they deserved. Destiny and her girls, the Hill brothers with the love’s of their lives. Winnie, Doryan, Six got the happily ever after.
I Absolutely love this series I hate to see them go😫🤪 I felt like the girls were my nieces and I was the cool aunt I the Hill brothers for my nieces ❣️ Go Winnie girl I'm so glad to finally stood up for your and became a boss chic
Great ending to a wonderful series… again I think you let some people off a little too easy but it’s all good I forgive you lol… I love the transformations in each character!!!
You never disappoint. Winnie and River, Ocean and Six, and Wave and Doryan my new faves. A lot of little errors but great book. I need a little standalone just to see how they are doing.
Cam and Russia got everything they had coming. Them sisters of hers got what they supposed to have gotten. That mother was the DEVIL ! How could you do that to your own family. Destiny sho
