Mike Young, a computer hacker, develops a set of malware that can delete every file and every piece of software from any computer that he targets. Initially, he sees this as an approach to extort money, but others see it as a powerful weapon of destruction. After successful demonstrations of the code’s power, a major enemy of the United States develops a plan to use it to further its goal of world domination. The cybersecurity forces in government and the corporate world find themselves unable to counter the threat, so it falls to the hackers and field operations staff of Purple Frog, a clandestine spy organization, to isolate and remove the danger. This fast moving action thriller is the seventh in the Purple Frog series.
Oh dear. this awful. The writing is so amateurish. No depth to the characters. The plot is "thin", the action sequences are pathetic. Thankfully I obtained this for free. If I had paid for it - I think I would be royally .....
How do I explain without giving too much away... Imagine looking through the offerings on Netflix, you see a film and think "oh that might be good", so you switch it on and it is categorically the opposite, however, you continue with it by taking your brain out for the duration, and put it on the settee beside you.
Well, this book is that film.
I honestly cannot recommend this book (I bet you guessed this before I wrote that!).
I don't normally like being this hard on an independent author, and if this was Book 1, I believe I would have toned it down a little, but this is Book 7 so it is not like he has not had any practice! (No I have not read books 1-6 and I won't be).
