What a way to introduce your kids to the wonderful worlds of DC. I love The Flash and this little gem gives the younger reader the full history of Barry Allen and how The Flash came to be. Brightly coloured and illustrated throughout. At the end of the book, which was a little short, there is a cast list of other DC characters including Batman and Aquaman, and a little quiz to see if they've learnt anything.

I’m a Flash fan so this book was great to read! I loved how it included a glossary page and a quiz page! Just wished the glossary page included more words.

The title is misleading as most of the book doesn't feel like it is about the Flash or really answer the title's question.

A very successful early reader that serves as introduction to Barry Allen's The Flash character. Each spread is a tiny chunk of informative large print text, with a full illustration opposite or below – and it's nice to note how the art feels lifted from a mature comic and not scratched together in exceedingly cartoonish ways for such a young audience. Each page has a different aspect of The Flash, whether it be the other iterations, his suit-enclosing ring, one of his baddies, or some of the Justice League colleagues he has action with. A quiz to close and we'll have learnt a fair bit about a character whose full output we may not be ready for for a few years, but one we'll be seeing a fair bit of in our youth regardless.
