Well-Written but Fantastical
The writing was good and the author could keep your attention, but the constant bombardment of things in the future being stated as fact was a real turn-off. “This WILL happen” or “the Metaverse WILL change this…”; the statements weren’t realistic.
In the beginning, the author states that Meta means beyond and then Verse is part of Universe, so obviously Metaverse is beyond the universe. It made me laugh out loud.
The end of the book is a bunch of QR codes which are probably affiliate links. That was the final point for me on this.

Fascinating
I found the way that this book describes a vision for technology of the future fascinating. It’s concise and easy to read and has left me thinking. If this book is right, and I think it probably is, at least in part, we’re on the verge of a brand new and exciting age. My favourite thing about this book is the way it highlights opportunities and draws parallels with opportunities gone by, for example in the early days of the internet and the early days of bitcoin. A really interesting and informative visionary book.
