Great Book, Poor Editing
This book, as far as content goes, is an extremely well put together, well written, thoughtful read, certainly worth anyone’s time. Some sources seem over-quoted, but still relevant in seeking to insert this text in the existing conversations on related topics. The author demonstrates a great understanding on a variety of topics, allowing her to make some very unique connections. That being said, this book is currently hindered by an excess of wording and grammatical errors, easy enough to fix if the author and publisher had a proficient editor review and correct the text for future editions, as some errors make the otherwise great information more difficult to follow than need be, especially considering that the author clearly took time to break down difficult source material for the sake of clarity for a broad audience. My only other (minor) complaint is that there isn’t more information about the author readily available; even so, I will be looking to see what she publishes next and hope that future writings are as insightful and thought-provoking as this one.
