Nodes, ie the shadowy planets r the points of intersection of the path of the Earth around the Sun and the path of the Moon around the Earth.
shadbala used to assess a planet strength but there is no lordship in rahu and ketu so we can use Vimshopak Bala, use a software for this
the closer a planet to midpoint of house, better its residential strength ie ability to give results during its periods

read through some chapters and it really gave more nuance to my understanding of rahu and Ketu. So much wisdom in these pages I read
