Putting the fey tragedy behind him, Erich arrives at the Rhinian capital and begins his term of service under Lady Agrippina at the Imperial College of Magic. There, he draws the attention of a troubling wardrobe connoisseur but has no choice but to press on and earn his sister’s tuition.
After befriending a student at the College, the two set off on one of Agrippina’s simple errands—until the Goddess of Dice turns their quick chore into a full-blown dungeon crawl! How many lovely pips will those dice show in the third session of Erich’s campaign?!

A bit more interesting then the first 2 but this series is like the slightly uglier twin of Hell mode. Both started at the same time have the same starting concept but I can’t help comparing it.

Erich begins his time at the College of Magic earning the money for his sister's tuition and making a new friend along the way. I continue to enjoy the amount of effort the author is putting into the world for the most part, but I do begin to wonder where this series is even going. Currently, the overarching plot is basically that Erich will eventually complete his character build and go on an adventure. That's it...otherwise these volumes are fairly episodic. Another small compliant is that the author tends to slow down the action by dropping TRPG analogies and explanations in the middle of battles, which tends to make my eyes glaze over.

Best of the series so far. The story feels like it meandered around a bit in the beginning/middle. But the story progressed well once the "world building" phase concluded. Satisfying boss battle, and opens up the possibilities in the next book.

Good Book

I enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I need to add some words to reach the 20 word minimum to leave a review.

Erich's life continues at the capital, learning magic, making friends and getting into trouble. Like the previous volumes I love the series for its excellent world building and great characters - even if the yandere's are somewhat prevalent. I do find the text a bit verbose/prosaic at times, especially during the fights, but that is a relative minor complaint for another wise good series.
