Don't miss the latest installment of this fast-paced, action-packed space opera! Featuring space marines, high-tech weaponry, espionage and gripping thrill rides, Assignment Diego marks the third novel in this rapid-release series!
Chancellor Severs is getting a report from PLAIR about the damage in an attack where six solar torpedoes, normally bringing in a single chunk of sun each, had brought in four chunks of sun causing 24 explosions. StarCen denies being involved. There is no evidence of League involvement either. Only an unidentified cloaked ship, perhaps a rogue, left the solar system at the time of the attack. But even without proof, Severs feels they must retaliate after so many ships and their crews were annihilated. He had a fleet sent to Halcyon. It could very well lead to war if they are wrong.
Jorge Diego-Campo walked into a large research laboratory and glanced over at the office of Pritchard Hsu which contained a sort of time machine that Jorge had helped to design, a 40-year project. Human travel to past or future could not be done. But Jorge thought Dr. Hsu set up a clone bank and someone could activate a clone in the past and walk around, interacting with events. Jorge suspected an operative had used the machine, sent a clone of himself back to the past, and gave League agents information about the present. Elsa Cole was assassinated and Admiral Severs came in as her successor. Then Hsu locked the chamber with the clone bank. Jorge wondered… but shrugged and walked over to make coffee. After today, he can retire with his full salary. He picked up what looked like a watch… well, it was. But he had put his electronics inside to make the world’s smallest quantum manipulator device, but this one manipulated time. He put the watch on, touched the face of it, and disappeared. In 3 seconds, he reappeared, smiling.
Eligible to retire from Republican Shipworks now, Jorge took the rest of the day off as sick leave and walked out with classified technology on his last day. He will be known as the Time Thief. Riding in a prison van on the way to Max Lock Prison, an encounter with Star League assassins will disrupt those plans. How will all of these factors come together?
Well-written, non-stop action and intrigue, this series continues to amaze. The writing pulls the reader along as events are revealed heading toward something unexpected. Grab your copy and enjoy where the author takes us! Because no matter the destination, it will be a wild roller coaster ride getting there.
Crossing the wrong people can be very hazardous for your health. There are no second chances here.
This is book three of the series, but it is early in the series and does fine as a standalone. This is a follow on to a previous series, so there will be references the new reader misses, but that should not diminish your enjoyment of this series.
This is a SF action story. The story is well written, easy to read with a fast paced action plot that grabbed me at the start and built from there. The setting is well developed with lots of nuances to it that provide a little surprise around every corner. The characters are also excellent, particularly our heroine. I like strong female leads and our heroine definitely counts. The journey has lots of twists and turns to it that kept me turning pages to see what was coming next. Overall, a highly enjoyable story and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Highly recommended

Excellent, back to form, five stars more people should read it and review this series.
Short but sweet, fast paced and enjoyable. Much more balanced than the last book, the bad guys didn’t get away with everything. Because the book is only 200 pages it is condensed fast paced with plenty of action. Hopefully we will see something new in the next book, I would like to see the digital assassin from the first book as well as another league SSI agent joined forces to fight against the league. After all who can catch an assassin but an assassin. Enjoyed the appearance of the characters from previous books in this universe. I hope more people read it and review it. Just look at my Goodreads page if I am gushing about this book, it is a great series. I am awaiting the next book eagerly.
Another fast paced story full of assassins and others with a plan and the hope to survive it all. Of course things happen along the was as Gina Wilcox gets curious and involved. I was entertained and enjoyed this fast paced story. Loved seeing others from the series pop in for the fun. Had to see how it would end this time and what surprises Gina would find out this time.
This latest installment continues the vibrant world that Jaxon Reed has created over several series. Here we pick up on the assassins from earlier installments and the story continues on. Interestingly we see a new environment that has great promise for future development. This one has dinosaurs! I'm eager to see where we go from here.
