I'm looking for books for Spanish friends trying to improve their English and I came across this horrible book. This uses all of the usual and ineffective methods that have been handed down for decades and just don't work. Fill in the blanks and match one column to the other exercises have never been useful in language learning.

All of the reading segments are too short, very poorly written, and mind-numbingly boring. I doubt that anyone involved in creating this rubbish has ever studied a foreign language.

Avoid at all costs.
