Sultan Drake. Nyx Scott. She has a passion for fashion.. He has a passion for her…
“With Nyx things were different. The type of different where I wanted to be so, connected that she would never again question why I was here or if she was enough.”
One week was the arrangement and how it all began, but the true question was how would it end…

I could relate to NYX. My father walked out on my mother after thirty years and never gave me an explanation and has a whole other family and to this day still hasn’t given me an explanation and doesn’t reach out to me and my children. NYX is right no one can understand that pain when you realize that you are not a priority and never was by someone you loved. Glad that Nyx got to confront her dad I never probably will. I don’t have the courage and no one in my life will probably arrange the visit for me to do so.
I like the advice Sutton gave Nyx. “If he makes you happy, then let him for as long as it last because it just might last. The worst way to live is to be stuck in a cycle of what if’s. If he’s a good guy then he deserves a fair chance and so do you.”
I absolutely love Sultan he is a take charge kind of guy who loves Nyx and glad she stopped running to let him love her.
This author never disappoints. I adored everything about this book. I love how assertive Sultan was. He knew he wanted Nyx and did everything he could to make it happen. He was so patient with Nyx and all of her traumas. I’m glad Nyx got out of her own way.
I love the name Sultan Drake and Nyx Scott. Their relationship started off as just an arrangement but it became so much more. I love them together. This book was really good.
I am an avid KC Mills reader but this did not cut it. The book dragged and dragged with useless information. On top of that, the editing was not good (her books I never have an editing issue with) for example Time -there first encounter in her chapter happened after 4am in his chapter he was in the car at 4am && his tech meeting was that morning but it was days later during their pillow talk. Where used as were && we’re, On used as one Many words in the wrong place, added words that aren’t supposed to be there Ex. I bit back a smile staring her down again. Unequivocally was used one too many times for me
Just how I like my billionaires….slightly unhinged
Ok…Sultan Drake is my kinda crazy….bookwise anyway. Money to blow…check. A**hole when it comes to business…check. Serious about his woman…check. But Sir, we tryna trap our ladies into not leaving us. Now you lucky she stayed cuz baby…
Everything he did was out of love. The man has a good heart and he was putting it down so good Nyx couldn’t leave if she wanted…that’s my type 🤪
At 60% into the book, I knew I was rating it 5 stars. At about 75% into the book I was upset because I was almost done and didn’t want the book to end. I need a paper copy so that certain pages are readily available for rereading! Once again I truly enjoyed another one of your books!
Nyx is a professional sub working at an exclusive sex club. Sultan is the owner. They run into each other one night, and Sultan feels something he can't shake. So he offers her an exclusive: a week to be his sub and no one else's. She agrees, but can she handle it? And him wanting more?
So, this book was sexy as hell. It was a nice, and considerate dive into kink and the dom/ sub dynamic. I like the physical connection between them. That was written the best. The sex was overwhelmingly good. The places where Nyx was overwhelmed by her emotions and the unexpectedness of them really connected with me. I loved her drive, and the way she pushed herself to succeed. I also loved her sensitivity.
Sultan was easy to like... for me. Lol. Although him wanting more at the start was a pretty glaring omission that I wasn't comfortable with. I feel like he was written as though he wasn't supposed to be likeable, but I love decisive men. Men who don't wait for anybody, who don't hesitate. His tendency to use money to solve problems was one I clearly understood, and it irked me a little that people used that to assume he had bad intentions. But it is about impact, so I understood the ruffled feelings and I'm glad he learned that too.
Nyx's trust issues kept me on a rollercoaster I wasn't sure I wanted to be on after a while. In the beginning, it was easy to see why she pulled away but it was hard to see why she kept doing it, why she kept looking for excuses to do it. I wanted her to confront her issues long before she did. That took too long for me. Sultan tied on those track shoes and ran after her and I almost felt sorry for him after a while, lol. But he knew what he wanted. Him taking the lead on patching things up with her parents was something protective and loving that I wasn't expecting, but I still couldn't help wishing Nyx had done that herself. Especially since he was handling parental strife of his own.
Also, Sultan's assistant and his lawyer--too nosy. And too intrusive. I found myself wishing they weren't his friends so they could just do their jobs, lol.
Wow! This book was not what I expected. I did not expect to read a book about BDSM but it was so good. Sultan was the perfect alpha. Patient, unrelenting, determined, and possessive. Lawd!! That man! He made the entire book for me. Nyx was just too much for me. It was quite frustrating to read about her always running at the sign of an issue. Like, girl! C’mon, just let the man love you! Nevertheless, the author did an amazing job with this story. I love the length and the development of this book. There were a few grammatical errors but it did not take away from the great story telling (IDK why there are reviews that made such a big deal about it). You WANT to add this book to your TBR list. This book is definitely top 3 of the year. Job well done!!!
Let me say im an avid reader of MsMills but this was not it for me... It lacked so much sauce... vibe...real connection and ugh seasons. The verbiage was off the overly run persona was more weak than broken and issues need healing... Just a no go for me and was so excited because of the new subject matter but no.
Ma’am when I say you never disappoint, I MEAN IT! No words to really describe your talent. This book was so different from what I normally read from you and I know I speak for others when I say WE WANT MORE! lol I can’t wait for what’s next!
This book had too many typos. I skipped most of the sex scenes. I'm not about that nonsense. But to each their own. Would I recommend this book? No. I spent more time fixing typos than reading.
I really liked this book. I’m a K.C. mills fan and she didn’t disappoint. From bumping into each other to entering an agreement for a week. Sultan saw Nyx and he was gone off her after that. I mean that man applied so much pressure that he healed her with love. EVERYTIME Nyx wanted to run or tried to run, he either beat her to it or he went to get her. I can’t even say that the relationship started quickly because it didn’t. They had an agreement for 7 days. But what Nyx didn’t know was that that the 7 days was a ruse cause that man had done decided he wanted to date Nyx not just have the arrangement and when I saw she fought him tooth and nail. She tried her hardest lol. Sultan PUT DOWN so it was basically inevitable. Nyx wasn’t use to a man doing what he said and meaning it. I mean her loved her wholeheartedly and until she realized he wasn’t going anywhere. No one could hurt her, wrong her, try her, or anything else. Sis didn’t get an opportunity she applied for and Sultan put her in place to receive an even better opportunity. If you my woman and I want the best for you so imma make it happen was a person it was Sultan and I loved it all for Nyx. The way they made each other better was truly beautiful. Yeah, I really loved reading Sultan and Nyx’s story.
So I rated this a 5 because it’s KC Mills, but truthfully it’s really a 3 1/2 at least….
Now call me bias and all, and that’s ok, but no matter what, this is still a KC Mills story and one of my top favorite author. This book was truly not all that. A 3 1/2 star was almost too high because of the amount of grammatical errors found in this story. This is a first and hopefully the last time. The story was somewhat boring add to the fact BDSM is NOT my cup of tea, you know I couldn’t enjoy this as much. Granted, it’s not a full high of BDSM, maybe it was a 3rd cousin twice removed type of degree, it still had some basics of bondage, flogging, spanking, cuffing etc… and for that I skipped so many parts in the book. Now Sultan was probably the highlight and best part of the story because he was persistent, pushy, knew what/who he wanted from the beginning, and he loved him some princess. Nyx was so unrelatable, annoying, selfish, childish, and just plain boring. Everything was a problem with her and it was exhausting. Several part tried to make me leave entirely but o pushed through and when the end came I was so happy. That said, I will repeat, this was still a Ms. KC Mills and I will read no matter what
This book really took me through it. Both Nye and Sultan had their baggage but I thought that Sultan was a lot more mature with his stuff...until he started acting like an adolescent and doing things that would have gotten him thrown out of his ass. Nyx started to look like the more mature one until she started running away. They both drove me crazy at different times.
But it was obvious that they belonged together.
The story was an amazing journey. I loved every minute of it. The premise, the characters, all of it was fantastic. I listened to this on audio and I tried to read some of it too. However, there was a lot of editing issues in the kindle edition so I quickly gave that up and went back to the audio which was very good.
I've read a few things by this author. She's definitely got a flare for story telling.
Whew, I'm still fanning my face and just unleashed the breath I was holding. KC you did not come to play with this one. I am in awe at the writing creativity and the way this author continues to captivate me as a reader. This book caught me off guard and yet I'm not surprised at the authenticity of this lifestyle she seems to capture. Nyx was out of her element with Sultan but clearly always in role play and not know it. She's a natural submissive that needed him to guide her to reach the level her dream was taking her. He was a dominant by instinct that needed her to balance. The reappearance of certain couples just added to the greatness of this book. It was almost like a 2021 collaboration of her kick off for something new, and I love it!! Very good read.
It is heartbreaking to witness someone struggle with parental neglect. Our parents really influence and shape who we are. They are instrumental in how we value ourselves. Nyx suffered from Mommy and Daddy issues that taught her to accept any attention she is given from those she loved. Her trust issues were on 1000. Sultan was the other side of the parental neglect spectrum, he used his daddy issues as fuel to succeed. I enjoyed the pursuit and development of their relationship. I loved Kira, BFF’s are crucial. I’m glad the drama was not traumatic and I enjoyed the growth they experienced. The sciences were HOT! Thank you for this novel. Some editing errors prevented this from being 5 stars.
Not my favorite by KC Mills, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. If You Let Go follows Sultan and Nyx. Sultan is this rich business man who own this kink club that Nyx works at. The 2 meet and Sultan is immediately obsessed w Nyx. So much so, that he propositions her to be his newest Sub for only 1 week. And obvi things grow into something so much more.
This books was pretty cute. I liked how Nyx and Sultan both had daddy issues that the other helped them with. I also like how Sultan was so down bad for Nyx that he was willing to do anything to keep her. I just didn’t like the pacing of everything. I felt like this book was way too long and Nyx’s back and forth got kinda old like half way through.
Another 🔥⭐️ read by Ms. Mills. Disclaimer, I don’t care for the BDSM lifestyle, but I enjoyed the relationship between Drake and Nyx. He was consistent in his desire for her even when she ran😩. Chick was always running. Like sis, slow down🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣. This book was a good read but I must suggest a proofreader for future books. Any KC book is a great read but when you have misused your, you’re, all over the place it tends to detract from the reading experience. Even if a proofreader is not utilized, at least try Grammerly..it may help with grammar. Even though the lifestyle is not one I enjoy, I still enjoyed these two. Happy reading y’all.
Sulton and Nyx are absolutly YUMMY!!!!!! Ultra Alpha male and Alpha female alert!!!!!! Sulton was that man. I was Nyx afraid and running. I related to her like I dated and married a millionaire. (spoiler alert....I did not!) Sulton was 100% all in. I love it when a hero is all in. The pacing of this journey was so good. The development of these two was flawless. The dialogue was top notch. The sex was ......WOW. This is a must read. There was nothing wrong and everything right with this journey. This is the book that you read over and over. The HEA was so good. This is such a good read.
The bdsm was not at all what I imagine bdsm to be or what I've read in other books in the past. the Dom asked for permission often. the Sub wasn't really into bdsm or so, she thought. This part didn't make a lot of sense for me. she was just doing the very minimum for money but was the most requested.
3 stars because I should have read the description before starting. if I had, I probably wouldn't have picked this one up. The bdsm trope is not my favorite or one I particularly care for. However, I like the other parts to this story & I wanted to see it through. KC Mills is typically one of my "guaranteed a good time" authors.
Ohhhhhhh my…🔥🔥🔥 this book… I have ZERO words for, like… ahhh 🤣🤣 this author came out swinging and did not disappoint! Everything about this book will leave you speechless. Chapter 10 at 27% = INTENSE… the author wrote this scene in such a way that the reader had no choice but to be in that room with Sultan and Nyx… 🔥🔥🔥 the scenes were HOT, the chemistry was PHENOMENAL, and the story was BEAUTIFULLY written. Awesome job to this author, this was moved up to my favorite by her… she wrote the heck out of this book! 🙌🏾👏🏾
Girl you better quit playing with me!!! When I say this book is something else!! I mean just that I absolutely loved it!! I love the characters Niyx started getting on my nerves for a minute but after a while she was cool. Baby.. Sultan ...hunty ain't No words to describe him. Now that I could use a part 2 of you didn't leave nothing out I'm not wondering What happened what could have been anything it was fullfilling but still left you wanting more and more and more LOL
Everything that K. C. Mills writes is gold. Her style of writing is definitely one of my favorites. I love to see black men loving black women out loud. Sultan was the man and that’s not debatable. For him, he was in love with Nyx at first sight. He made sure to take care her in every way possible and I am here for it. He supported her when she was going through her issues with her parents in the best ways possible. Nyx did get on my nerves taking so long to give Sultan a real chance but he wouldn’t let up and she had no choice but to eventually let her love him.
I enjoyed the many layers between this couple. Nyx certainly had some issues and boy would she shut down and run at the drop of a dime!!! Loved Sultan's patience with her and his devotion as a man. So glad they got their happy ending. Also glad this was a standalone. Finished in one day. Great job KC Mills!!! Just the right amount of kink. Your books just keep evolving and getting better 💕💯💕
