Wish you TOOK MORE CHANCES with your LIFE and CAREER?

The biggest regret most people have later in life is what they didn't do rather than what they did. If you want some inspiration to take more chances, Learn to How Leaders Turn Risk into Opportunity needs to be on your reading list. This compelling book from business leader and executive coach Kip Knight is a fascinating collection of real-life stories and lessons learned.

Kip, the co-author of Crafting A Leader's Handbook to Change Minds and Influence Behavior, believes the best way to share powerful and motivating insights is through stories. Learn to Leap has a wide and unique collection of them.Have you ever wondered what it would take to walk in off the street and get an executive position at a Fortune 500 company? Or what it's like to meet with the National Security Council in the White House? Or how to psych yourself enough to walk barefoot across a hot bed of coals?

With each story, the reader can draw their own lessons on how to push themselves to try new things and learn how to become a better person and stronger leader. Each person's life is a unique, separate, and remarkable journey. We all have opportunities and situations throughout our lives that vary dramatically in risk and nature. Some are easy decisions; others pose difficult choices. Learn to Leap is written for anyone who has a dream but isn't quite sure how to make it a reality.

It takes a great storyteller to tell all the tales in this book. The fact that these tales are not only real, but that they all happened to one person, is a testament to the legacy that Kip has created. I said “happened to,” but that’s not accurate. Kip Knight created most of these opportunities as shared in Learn To Leap, and he made the most of the others that came his way. You can read this book purely for its (significant) entertainment value, but then you’d be missing out on all the pearls of wisdom embedded in each chapter.

What sets Learn To Leap apart from other self-help books is Kip's ability to provide both theoretical and practical insights into the subject matter. Kip draws on his own personal experiences, as well as the experiences of other successful business leaders, to illustrate his points and provide concrete examples of how to apply the concepts in real life.

One of the most valuable aspects of the book is Kip's emphasis on the importance of mindset. He posits that our mindset shapes our actions and outcomes and encourages us to adopt a growth mindset that embraces change and sees failure as an opportunity to learn and grow. For me, that was an important, if not uncomfortable, reminder. Additionally, the chapter that really spoke to me was Chapter 10: Resilience – When the Going Gets Tough.

Another standout feature of the book is Kip's writing style. He writes in a clear and engaging manner, using relatable examples and stories to illustrate his points. The book is easy to read and accessible to a wide range of readers, regardless of their background or level of experience. But if you’ve been there, you’ll quickly grasp the core message.

Overall, Learn To Leap is a must-read for anyone who wants to take their life and career to the next level. The book is packed with valuable insights and practical advice and is sure to inspire readers to take action and embrace change whether by choice or necessity.

It’s been quite some time since I had the chance to read such an inspiring real life experience. Thanks to Kip powerful writing style, you travel back in time and across the world and really live the adventures and feel the emotions like you were there with him. On a side note, I’ve been working at eBay in the marketing team at the same time Kip was in the lead. I had the opportunity to participate to the famous Marketing college and can confirm that the quality of experience and the strong leadership behind it were simply exceptional and above any other marketing program I experienced in my career before and since then.

Definitely a must read! Thanks Kip for this book and for your leadership at eBay!
