A sweet, sad and funny YA novel, particularly enjoyable if you like to bake 😊

This is a touching, beautifully written book. I enjoyed Cate Carlyle's style very much - she is descriptive and deep without being overbearing. She handles difficult subject matter with subtle humor and unusual depth. The topics of childhood cancer, OCD, Alzheimer's Disease and dementia are central themes, but they're tempered by the convincing voice of a teenage baker and her inner dialogue as she navigates some of life's most extreme challenges. I highly recommend this book.
