Okay I’m not a frequent / good review writer so forgive what might seem like an unstructured review! This book started off cute and it ended nicely, but I did find myself struggling to get through some bits in the middle. Views on astrology aside I am genuinely glad that it ended with Krystal seeking professional help, becoming introspective, healthily putting her life back together and realising why she had done what she had done - BUT, I personally felt like more time could have been spent on the chapters to do with her discovering those lessons, and looking inwards. At risk of making this rather personal it is possible I feel this way because I myself am struggling trying to be more self aware and understand why I have the thoughts I have / do the things i do, so maybe I would have appreciated if the book (albeit fiction lol) gave some due respect / acknowledgement to the amount of time and work that it takes to make such changes (lol or maybe books aren’t meant to do this!!). It was a pleasant read nonetheless, but these are my thoughts.

Why didn’t I read this sooner?

I enjoyed this very much. The characters were endearing, and I was quite sad to get to the end and say goodbye. The astrology references were interesting, and it was overall amusing, and represented some evenings well spent. My biggest problem? What am I going to read now? Ah! That’s what she said!
